What a Ho

Angelina Jolie is a bitch-ass cum-drunk pussy-eating ho.

To all you fake faggot Rob Andersons out there, I will always be first! Always!

I'm Quite Sure You're An Expert On That Subject, Fucker

As for this clip, this guy is GOOD. Can't wait to see more!

Friday, March 2, 2007 11:38 AM

First Church of Christ Filmmaker?

You know, I'm all for parody, but as an international adoptive mom, I find this insulting. Not to mention the first two posts.

Friday, March 2, 2007 11:46 AM

Mea Culpa

I agree. The clip is insulting, and so is the first comment. I mean, what could be better than getting adopted by Angelina? Talk about heaven on earth. Ohh, why did I make this awful vid? I guess because the idea made me laugh.

My apologies to everyone,

Apeman888

Apeman

Don't apologize for good work.

But then, methinks thou art engaging in sarcasm, no? ;-)

Friday, March 2, 2007 12:21 PM

bleh

This is the best they could do? Not worthy of Video Dog.

To The CFR...

Wait till she shaves her head, and runs off with Marlyn Manson..!

That's all for now..

This video is unworthy of Salon

How incredibly offensive.

Whatever you make think of Angelina Jolie, she's not stealing children. These kids are in orphanages in some of the poorest countries in the world and she's giving them a chance at the kind of life Apeman88 has undoubtedly enjoyed.

Not to mention how it makes other parents who adopt internationally feel.

I can't believe Video Dog would put something so tasteless up.

Friday, March 2, 2007 03:40 PM

Am I on Salon.com?

Not funny, tasteless and totally misses the real issue. But then again, what can you expect from someone calling himself "First Church of Christ" Filmmaker? HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Come on! Religious freaks already get waaaaaaay too much airplay as it is. And now, even on Salon.com? How unfortunate.

And why is Rob what's-his-name so angry?

Friday, March 2, 2007 04:02 PM

No wonder I don't read Salon as often as I used to

I thought I was the target audience. I used to think of Salon as the internet site for the NPR crowd. It's become increasingly dumbed-down in the past year, and now I see this video which seems targeted to teenage boys, or immature young men. I don't understand who saw this and thought, wow, this would be perfect for the Salon.com audience!

Friday, March 2, 2007 06:17 PM

Lighten up!

The video was hysterical! She does adopt kids faster than a speeding bullet and we don't all have to genuflect to St. Angelina. She is doing good work, but people it was funny!

Friday, March 2, 2007 06:37 PM

Hits a nerve, he does

Well here's a conspicuously over wrath outpouring of emotion over the adoption habits of the rich and famous. What is the problem exactly? You see it as anti-3rd-world-adoption? (It's different from exploiting their natural resources, honest!) You're a really big fan of Bradgelina? (But he's designing fashionable housing for the displaced in New Orleans and she’s playing Daniel Pearl’s pregnant wife, for god’s sakes!) You see the production name as somehow anti-religion? (11th commandment: thou shall not even try to be amusing.)

Seriously, it's s-a-t-i-r-e. Very similar to this: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/37489. (You'll have to cut and paste; damn Salon for not allowing anchor tags!) Some people really need to take a pill to kill whatever crawled up their arse and made this video the Most Important Thing In Their Lives At This Instant.

Friday, March 2, 2007 06:41 PM

hee!

"Run! Angelina Jolie is coming!!"

that my friends, is pure gold.

good work!

National Treasures?

I believe that calling Angelina Jolie a womb raider is ridiculous. She doesn't steal babies from women's wombs, and she doesn't steal babies from women's arms. The world would be a much better place if more of us would adopt the world's homeless babies.

Saturday, March 3, 2007 07:39 AM

Love it!

Will these children ever know about their original culture and language? Yeah, it's nice to be adopted by wealthy people, but do any of the people who adopt children from other countries ever teach those children about their history? And forget about ever having a medical history! Apparently, money can buy everything.

Angelina Jolie: Womb Raider

All I have to say is THANK YOU for your piece on AJolie. Her dispicable acts need to be made public. Her concern is not for the child. Pamela

I Have Nothing but Respect for Angelina Jolie

She has a desire to brood that I don't understand having stopped a two children myself, but she isn't stealing anyone's kids. These adoptions are legal and I fail to understand why anyone would object.

Oh, and I didn't bother to watch the video so I can be faulted for that.

The quality of the video and the letters

A few people have commented on the quality of the video and the letters.

I think the video is funny. It combines two things we know about Angelina Jolie in an original way. It's a clever joke. I didn't interpret it as saying anything negative about AJ's adoptions. It's just making a joke at her expense.

It is worthy of being posted at salon.com. Not everything has to be insightful and political. Video Dog has a lot of videos that are purely for entertainment. Why is entertainment unworthy of salon.com? Might as well say The K' Chronicles is unworthy of salon.com.

As for the quality of the letters, salon.com opens their letters to everyone, regardless of whether they are subscribers, literate, or good writers. Any time discussion is opened to a wider group of people, it gets dumbed-down. Sometimes, salon.com gets letters from people an inflated sense of their own importance who feel they have to respond to everything they see on the internet. Unfortunately, you can't stop them from posting without stopping people who actually have something to say.

please remove this video from salon

I second rorschach's comment.

Adoption of orphans is a honored and worthy tradition, and as far as we all know, Jolie does it by the book. Instead of heaping ridicule and contempt her we should applaud her. And if we don't want that we should at least leave her alone.

Please Salon, remove this video from the front page.

Please Remove Your Head From Your Ass

That's my request of all those humorless morons who are calling for this clip to be pulled. Get over yourselves.

Interesting suggestion

Aside from some of the vulgar comments posted about this I'd like to add something a bit more thought provoking. I find the message interesting in this parody and I must admit, it does hint at the recent trend for cash-rich celebrities who go baby shopping in underdeveloped countries. Why is this so? If it's not Africa or Vietnam it's Russia. Are these babies stolen or just products of greedy, law-evading baby sellers? Why can't these rich red-carpet frequenting, champagne guzzling celebrities fulfil local adoption criteria?

Don't you think that changing society and local legislation is more important than bringing one individual from rags to riches? Don't you think that person will lead a life of confusion and personal doubt? Who do these celebrities think they are? Hereos, Gods?

Let's tackle poverty first. Angelina adopted a three-year-old boy, who must be fully aware of the bizarre changes in his lifestyle, from sleeping in a room with ten other urchins and next to no love to being escorted away by a skinny princess with oversized lips in a private jet...she's in for a nightmare - these kids eventually discover where they're from and why they feel eternally resentful.
