I love Mary's work, but jeez...

I have read all her books and was delighted to see that she had a video on Salon. But I could not concentrate on anything she was saying...I kept thinking she was playing a joke--that suddenly the video would change and her hair would be combed and she would have some makeup on and she would say, "See how sexual desire is so dependent on the visual? Who can think about sex when I look so crappy?" Whoever filmed you, Mary, is not your friend. What the hell were you thinking??

Arousal

Mary Louise Parker with mussed up hair is arousing. Mary Roach, not so much.

As Brigitte Bardot said, and I translate from the French,

If you have to ask about being aroused, you wouldn't understand the answer.

Back to your knitting, Mary.

Make that "If you're"

going to go on about arousal.

If your going to talk about sexual arousal...

at least get your hair done or at least washed. Cripes.
