  • Why is this on video?

    Again Salon demonstrates a failure to understand the purpose of video.

    Video is for things that need a visual component. Simple as that. Things that are enhanced by video, or incomplete without video.

    Some guy just talking would be a much better presentation in text. Especially if the person talking is not a very good speaker.

    Graham Hill may or may not have important things to say. I don't know. I couldn't stand watching his inept presentation, and clicked it off about a third of the way through. I would like a chance to read his words. I am not going to suffer through his amateurish presentation.

    Please, Salon, figure out what should be presented as video and what should be presented as text*. Stop presenting things as video just for the novelty of it.

    *Hint: About 90% of what you currently present as video would be much better as text.
