I wish I could tell how fast he is going.
hi anonymous.
it's not my dog, but my friends'. He is running about 25 miles an hour. My buddy shows the speedometer for a brief second you can pause there and see, but i think it's slighly beyond 20 mph. The video was about 4 minutes of running, condensed to 1.15! Enjoy
Oh and he has one eye - lost the other in a dog fight at the pound!
A cheetah in a dog suit. Who knew??
This isn't a spaniel. He's a Pointer. And yes, they are fast. :)
I have a dog of the same breed -- English Pointer -- and they are VERY fast.
Okay... cool to see the fast doggy.
But the guy is driving down a narrow dirt road, fast, chasing a dog who might dart in front of the car, while holding a videocamera and aiming it at the dog.
Seriously, this cute Salon video could easily have ended up on one of them websites with the death videos.
1. He's a coon hound, believe it or not Flash is not a pointer, and I might add, he's a one-eyed coon hound. (there's a country song in there somewhere)
2. Understand the concern of the reader about the safety - i would categorize under "don't try this at home". Also, this video was born out of chance, Flash spent a whole summer chasing that car down the road anyway - this was a chance to capture it all!
enjoy
