WTF
That was disturbing. I can't believe you actually posted that.
-
Um...
I may be obtuse, but just what the hell was that supposed to mean?
-
Funny, but not as an advert
If it's going to be an ad for Tide, then it needs to start with finding the dead body, and go from there. How do you get out toughs stains like blood and shit? Why, with Tide, of course!
-
Hillarious
That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The crying makes it perfect.
-
Ineptitude posing as snark
Hire them? Maybe to clean out my garage.
I won't even dignify the lousy, juvenile concept with much of a comment, except to say that if these guys really are in advertising, their self-loathing must be only outweighed by their utterly unjustified faith in their hipness, creativity and originality.
No, I'm gonna save my greatest ire for the lousy execution (no pun intended) of the ad. Even for a demo, the pacing, plotting, acting and camera work is breathtaking inept -- and as one who's worked in small-market advertising, I've seen my share of amatuer-hour demo reels, believe you me. Have these guys ever shot (or even storyboarded) an ad in their lives?
To think they believe this will drum up business for them is positively mind-blowing. The only possible explination is that this is actually an act of business sabotage -- some competitor of McCormick Advertising must have done the lamest, yet most offensive thing they could bear to create, and then stuck their rivals' name on it. Guerilla marketing, indeed.
-
Is there any reason why the guy is hurt like that?
Or is it just thrown in there, as a non sequitir?
-
McCormick?
Eh, don't think so.
The tiny white print on the intro screen says:

I guess weirdly awkward is the new Cool.
-
You might want to post a warning with this video
For instance, "be warned that this ad is in extremely bad taste!" If ads like this were on television, I'd stop watching altogether.
-
Re: Totally Gross Ad
I think this was disgusting and completely unecessary. It kind of ruined my evening.

Worth watching ...
... for Meredith along. I liked the clip when it was just Meredith. She's very easy on the eyes. Dave Hill in bloody pants, not so much.
Meredith, call me!
