That is extremely impressive. I am a long time cat owner and cats usually do not do anything you want them to do unless they want. High five to the owner. I love men who love cats
what the orange tabby said to Pokey at one point.
"Dude! Knock it off! You're only encouraging him!"
I want to see where Pokey gets tired of the game and sinks his teeth and claws into Mr. Hand.
Did the owner acquire one cat that matched his wood floors and one that matched his tile floors, or did he have the floors installed to match the cats?
Hate to break it to you all, but any cat raised from kittenhood around people will respond in exactly the same way to an outstretched hand. They will sniff it, then give it a gentle swat. No "trick" involved.
You're right that kittens will swat at hands, but I've had a lot of cats and they almost never do anything on command, and definitely not consistently.
And I'm not just saying that because I'm one of P's owners. Stan (the yellow one), for example, is a moron.
I'm not much of a cat person, but that Pokey is one kool kitty. Fun to watch, if a bit overlong.
...that's not so. When I saw this video I immediately tried to get our three, who have been raised by hand and trained to do other things, and neither did - but I am training the most clever one to do it now.
Evie, great kitties!
Could it be a Russian Blue or a blue Burmese? I want one!
He's actually a stray born to a calico in my boyfriend's parents' garage, and somehow came out looking like a pure-bred Russian Blue. Talk about a deep discount.
...or have been owned by family over the last 26 years were all feline geniuses.
Give me a break.
