    Maybe I'm Too "Marcel"

to have known anyone like the girls who became like the women on Real Housewives but I loooove this show. It's endlessly facinating to me! I am a working class shlub whose friends are mostly working class shlubs and while we may not spend our nights working for world peace (we do find the odd weekend to petition for issues or something) these women seem to have an existence so alien to me that I can not imagine having them to dinner. Since I live in an urban area and the desire for a few nicities of consumer culture, I do run into the mid-west version and this show has given me tremendous insight into the lives of the women I might see while I am shopping at williams sonoma. If I am forced to interact with them (those politicians do have fundraisers and non-profits to have board members)I can just think about what one of these women would do and it seems to fit. Thank the goddess because before RH, I was lost lost lost at these functions and going to a bar in the suburbs was an anthropological expedition. Thanks for giving me a context Orange County!
