Not even George Clooney's "sparkly eyes" can ignite this wispy satirical comedy

There are Sheep who do indeed fall into a "narcoleptic" snooze..now you've been educated,if you didn't add this,I didn't read your ah,story!

someone just called you a pessimist,I'd choose the words,"lack of illectual depth",perhaps not this movie, however maybe it has a point? If Clooney thought it worthy enough to sign his name to,I'll respect his choice to have accepted this..I didn't read your "critique" which is a compliment, for lack of a better activity,as you are no movie expert,anyway..Did you know that Goats,Sheep,I'm almost sure, called the "Sleeping Sheep"[that's right] they suddenly drop to the ground,in a narcoleptic,stupor-like snooze, see I don't know if that's in your article,if not,now you've been educated! For those enquiring minds& the others who don't care..they'll not get the premise of "mind control"I can get deeper into polirically charged, government experiments done,"remote viewing",the proven, moving thinks w/ ones mind, but let's not scare you or the readers who are so unaware of the meaning, meant by the writer..it may not be as funny as you think..but it is,not because of the goats, rather, the subtle humor, funny is funny, humor not wasted on movie...

correction re: Narcoleptic snooze, word was.../notes on "O" winfrey's other moronic pic "remember? Frey's lies?"O"'s literary blindness

fist sentence.."intellectual[depth],also this was an easy one for you..wasn't it you who took on "Gone W/TheWind?

I happened to have met the woman who published that book,[original] I also met this old lady,in early 70's,in Manhattan,"Gone" was too long,Civil war was not promising subject..but soon after 38 X it became the classic..so the book that someone wrote,re: a part 2-ish story, was published by yet another moronic publishing house, including the "O" winfrey's "Frey.."A Million Little Pieces" which has been a joke ever since,"O" is so lazy she never realized what a liar he was,not until he admitted it!She makes alot of idiots rich while she ignores someone who asked her to read an unpublished, expose'circulated the market-place,was used, carefully by other procucers, that today [& even in 90's would have had a lawsuit.."Just Tip Me Mister!" '78 written re: 1st subject about waiting tables,a woman alone supporting a daughter, owning her own home at age 26,in 1957!Unlike "O"'s background, revisiting her tv station?Gee,what struggles?Enough of that.."O" is a fake, not mom's idea, just wanted to ask that she read it..she ignored me,as you will, but that's not important, others already know about this "sleeper"..this was my idea to ask Big "O"..her food& her devoid knowledge of literature...

MVG

I regret to inform you that, being Friday, the mighty Movie Review Generator has spit out some more data. The latest findings:

Michael Jackson's This Is It: No it isn't!

Disney's A Christmas Carol: Neither Carol nor I liked it!

The Fourth Kind: Kind of stupid!

The Box: What they should have tossed the script in, then buried!

The Men Who Stare At Goats: If it looks like a goat, smells like a goat, and eats garbage like a goat, then it's still not necessarily a goat, but this movie got mine anyway! Thumbs and hooves up!

Is it true Clooney slept with a pig for twenty years? And is it true he tries to channel the pig spirit now that it's dead

I read that somewhere, is it true? The only reason I want to know is that I keep picturing Clooney as the Duchess in Alice in Wonderland who is rocking a baby who turns into a pig. When the pig runs off, Alice is quite perplexed. And so am I that a guy who may have chosen a porcine companion over other available options is considered some kind of archetype of male

beauty these days. To me, he just looks like the drawing of the duchess in the Alice book, but maybe he really didn't sleep with a pig and I'm only projecting.

He put a bandage on his nose just like Polanski did in Chinatown. Does this make this movie Chinatown?

NO.Lame as Chinatown was, they can't even approach the lamest of the film noir re-takes on the genre of the seventies, don't let them fool ya.

The New Rat Pack

Clooney and his buddies (Pitt et al) think that they can put out this drivel because they are so cool and because everyone loves them we'll go running. Guess again George. I know you're having a grand ole time but spare us this these self-indulgent piffle home movies. Ciao.

They're called Fainting Goats

Not sure what that inarticulate rambling screed above was all about. But I thought I'd clarify that the goats who fall down are called Fainting Goats. Never heard of sheep that do it.

jentilpet...

What did the space bar ever do to you? Steal your meth?

Friday, November 6, 2009 03:46 PM

Wow a lot of assholes here

And only opinions have them. Or something like that. This movie might indeed suck, I don't know. But I know Chinatown didn't. And I know that Clooney has been in some great movies and he's a pretty sharp guy.

What one learns about their fellow beings when reading a comment board. And almost none of it good.

It sucked

I saw this flick last night. I agree with your review. It started strong but then kind of lost it's way. About the time the hippies gave LSD to the troops and let all the terrorists out of jail (who no doubt came back and murdered all the high-as-a-kite soldiers, although this was not shown in the movie) I had lost interest. There was also the scene when the one soldier was trying to shoot his fellow soldiers: bad timing following the Ft. Hood murder by that scumbag Islamic-terror-nut-case. This movie was kind of a hippie flick and I can't stomach those whack-jobs anymore. They were sort of cute back in the day but now very pathetic.

Save your $, this movie blew a root! And I don't think Clooney can act either. He sucks.
