"Cloverfield"

Do we really need the horror of 9/11 to be repackaged and presented to us as an amusement-park ride?

    Root of Godzilla vs. Cloverfield?

Godzilla - those who lay waste to our cities are likened unto a giant radioactive lizard. Which may be appeased by innocent children at times in order to save the day.

Cloverfield - those who lay waste to our cities are likened unto a giant crustacean. Which in order to save New York City, the authorities just had to nuke the city in order to save the day.

At least that is what I am gathering.

Well maybe JJ Abrams has distilled this whole 9/11 and the ensuing war on terror down to it's essence. The government must destroy American in order to save the day and defeat global terrorism or a giant crustacean, whichever you choose to believe in.

So I guess that makes JJ Abrams an artist again.

So I should get some dramamine before seeing this or just close my eyes?
