It truly is depressing. During peak tourist season, the cruise ships moor downtown and pollute our beautiful skies, creating a low smog cloud over us. Since they come everyday for months, it doesn't really go away until fall hits.
Just goes to show that every corner of our universe is affected by global warming and pollution and I really am pleased Al Gore is taking the American society to task on this issue.
Bush should go and see this "strange-and-portly-man-w/ an-accent"s' movie. Unfortunately, this is what he said in response to the question of whether or not he'll see Gore's movie: "New technologies will change how we live
and how we drive our cars which all will have the beneficial effect of improving the environment," Bush said. "And in my judgment we need to set aside whether or not greenhouse gases have been caused by mankind or because
of natural effects and focus on the technologies that will enable us to live better lives and at the same time protect the enviroment."
I have never seen Bush derided the way this writer derided Al Gore, and yet just look at the laziness, stupidity and ignorance dripping from that above statement.
I wish Bush would become more wonky!!!!!
