go, Zacharek, go
In November and December, Zacharek began to wear me down with one flat review after another. What a joy it is to read her this week. I haven't seen the movie, nor did I want to, but I love Queen Latifah as much as Zacharek does and she's now not only persuaded me to see it, but to argue against those old "plausibles." Right on, sister. It's been maddening the last few years to see this trend and lack of imagination (or uninhibited passion) in so many moviegoers. Point for point, Zacharek wins tons of goodwill from this reader with her essay on "Last Holiday." Keep it up.
