"Rent"

Who knew a movie musical could be worse than last year's over-the-top travesty "Phantom of the Opera"?

    review of "Rent"

What a shame. From Zacharek's review, the film of "Rent" sounds like it'll be very much like the stage show. I had great hopes they'd take the opportunity to correct the mistakes in the stage show for the purposes of the film.

(And I'm usually a true-blue viewer; I *like* my stage shows, and generally get put out when the screenplays deviate too far!)
