"Three Times"

Hou Hsiao-hsien's lyrical new film captures the mystical quality of time when you're deeply in love.

over and over

I am sad to see no one has posted anything about this film. I remember reading this review the first time out and shelving it away which is what I do with Stephanie Zacharek's reviews until I can come back to them afterwards. When I did actually see the film its lyricism completely caught me off guard.

The image of Chang Chen riding his bicycle will forever be etched in my brain. I couldn’t even tell you why.
