You still don't get it about the Academy Awards. It's the screeners, those DVDs the studios and distributors send out which enable low budget, indie, and obscure little films to be seen by every voting member of The Academy. We don't go to the theaters to see movies during the awards season. We stay home and watch them in our living rooms - all of them. The execs at the big studios shot themselves in the foot and the box office the day they decided to send these out.
