Cera is a first-class actor and it's high time more people take proper note of that fact. Luckily, I am here to guide everyone on these matters and in my usual prescience I wrote the following letter to Salon in August of 2007--and got a precious red star for it!
Why hide Cera somewhere?[Read the article: "Superbad"][Read more letters about this article: Here]
I'm looking forward to seeing the movie even though my teenage years are a very dim memory indeed. The thing that's bothered me in the past two or three weeks, though, is that I've seen Jonah Hill interviewed on four or five talk shows about the movie as if he's the only star. But from Arrested Dev. alone, as well as the preview clips they run, Michael Cera is one fine young actor, and should be getting a little attention. Why have the producers chosen to keep him out of the limelight altogether and have the barely interesting Hill do all the neat PR stuff? I'm just sayin', as everyone now keeps saying....

Whatever fame and fortune comes Mr. Cera's way, he is earning it with his work and his quiet charm. Nice going, Michael!
you people have a bad habit of describing others by name-dropping someone else. If I were the person receiving your back-handed compliments, I would be pissed.
Is it that you have no confidence in what you are saying? Just can't find the words that will convey what you want to say? Or is the guy just basically another movie actor with few skills that you are trying to prop up?
As soon as I hear, or read, the words "...she/he is like...," or "...think so-n-so," and other other useless, lazy ass writing and reporting, I'm done with the person! They can only be on their way out as soon as you label them as someone else!
You know what made Pulp Fiction a great movie? It's truth. That everything old is new again and there is nothing really original anymore.
