    Second Rufus Wainwright

Rufus Wainwright is a major dreamboat for men and women alike. Sure, he's not everyone's cup of tea...just persons' with good taste. Do a web search the performance of "San Francisco" at his recent Hollywood Bowl concert, or listen to "Peach Trees" from Want Two, to see what I'm talkin' about. Also, he is a gay man who posed in long undies for the video for "Rules and Regulations." That kind of confidence? way, way sexy.

I'm a lady, and I went to the aforementioned Hollywood Bowl concert - the Bowl was packed, but at intermission, there was NO LINE for the ladies' room. There were even empty stalls! I overheard one man on the way back to my seat say "the clubs in West Hollywood are empty tonight." And that's the power of teh sexy, ladies and germs.

As for this year's list: not bad, not bad. I'm not so into the posed sensitivity of Anderson Cooper and Ira Glass, though. I fell outta love with pretentious egotism after I finished grad school.
