Oscar castrates himself

The Academy celebrates niceness, bleeps out "bitch" and pats itself on the back for good behavior. And what did they do to poor Jon Stewart?

    Really poor article

I have to admit, I wasn't going to read her article at all. The article last week where she interviewed/defended her friend demonstrated that she doesn't really have anything of quality to add. However, once I read the headline about Jon Stewart bombing, then read the letters about the file date of the article being LAST FRIDAY, I decided to see what her issue with the show was.

The Oscars aren't ever a thrilling, shocking show. I've been watching them my whole life. Its just a fun night to pretend we all are involved in the film industry, which we're not. Which Cintra Wilson is not.

I'm not sure what show she was watching, but I suspect she just thinks its hip and cool and edgy to criticize Jon Stewart.

I don't understand why Salon feels that she has something useful or worthwhile to say. THats what I'm concerned about. I'd also like Salon to explain why her article was so non specific and filed 2 days before the event occurred. That would be great to know.
