Come on now...

Sephora is a cosmetics and perfume retail chain. Moses' wife was Zipporah.

I think it's time to remember everyone who has been killed by alcohol

I still think Trump flew into this rage because he's grieving over his brother, who died from alcoholism.

And I still think Rosie is was morally wrong to make fun of anyone for sending a young drunk to rehab.

And to portray being sent to rehab as some brutal beating given to a hooker by a pimp -- that made me honestly hate Rosie.

What kind of person would try to portray alcohol rehab as a form of deadly violence against women?

Does everyone who is defending Rosie share her view, stated on her website, that Trump is like some pimp out of Cagney and Lacey, beating the crap out of his teenaged whore?

Is alcohol rehab really the same thing as a brtual beating from a pimp?

It's too bad Trump couldn't control his temper, because Rosie really was the wrong one for starting this in the first place. She is so wrong, but her wrongness has been overshadowed by his rage.

Because fat is such a feminist issue, nobody cares any more whether Conner really needed to go to rehab, whether Trump didn't do her the biggest favor anyone has ever done her in her whole life.

Does anyone care about Conner at all? Other than Trump, that is?

And since New York and Hollywood social life revolves so firmly around heavy binge drinking these days, I guess this forgetfulness is very convenient for certain parties. And partyers.

Trump was perfectly within his rights to give Conner a choice between rehab and unemployment, and I think he did a good deed.

It's too bad he couldn't control himself, because all anyone is going to remember now are the insults about Rosie's weight.

They're not going to remember how many people are killed by alcohol every year.

Or breast cancer, for that matter. Rosie's mother died of breast cancer. Women who binge drink increase their chances of getting breast cancer.

Did you think about breast cancer, Rosie, when you first brutally mocked Trump for sending Conner to alcohol rehab?

And one of those "dead alcoholic" statistics was Trump's older brother -- the one person in the world who might have been able to tell Donald to keep his big mouth shut.

And now I wish we would all bow our heads in memory of EVERYONE who has been killed by alcohol.

I wish Donald would get some help, really

He's so obviously not dealing with his real emotions here. If he could talk about his brother's death openly in public, people would understand his rage over Rosie's vicious mockery a lot better.

Donald, it's not a sign of weakness to admit you're in pain.

"The best thing that ever happened to her"

It's my understanding that Trump sent the young lady in question to rehab because she went out to bars when she was underage and maybe partied a little hardy. Unless I've missed something significant, this is absolutely not an indicator of addiction, and to order her off to rehab is a ludicrous self-righteous PR stunt punishing normal young adult behavior. I imagine that she's not finding many people to relate to there.

"I drank so much that I lost my job and my family."

"Oh, um, once I got drunk and made out with Miss Teen America..."

when will trump go away

I don't know about anyone else, but I'll be grateful when Donald Trump fades into obscurity..hopefully sooner rather than later.

A Moratorium on That Silly Fight

Please stop. If no media outlets would print articles about that stupid publicity seeking self promotional war of the (dim)wits between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump, it would go away. As long as Salon and every other newspaper, magazine, blog and tabloid continue to write and print stories about them, they're getting just what they want. Please stop. Please.

Yvonne De Carlo

Maybe if I hot foot it to the mall I can trade in the Old Testament for some Carol's Daughter Shea Butter Souffle at "Zipporah".

Seriously-- I'm beauty product addicted but "Sephora"? Are you absolutely certain about that one?

Is Israel not in the Middle East?

You article says that Lebanon is the only middle eastern country that Borat has been shown in. Not so. It's been shown to huge acclaim in Israel. (Remember all the news stories about the fact that Israelis can understand what Borat is saying in his Hebrew-Polish muddle of a language?) Please fact check your stories.

How can you kidnap someone who doesn't exist?

I remain convinced that Suri was Photoshopped.

Ok, No Name Given, We GET IT!

PLEASE shut the fuck up about alcoholism, Trump's brother and the (mythical) efficacy of Twelve Stepping. It's all ludicrous nonsense, and Conner will probably end up feeling confused, angry and helpless after the tender ministrings of her minders at the rehab center. While I agree that Rosie's analogy was waaaay over the line, her basic point is still correct.

First of all

About Sephora: YES, that is the name. Not in the Hebrew language, but it IS the name that is on the credits of The Ten Commandments, which is the film in which Yvonne de Carlo played the role. So although it's historically inaccurate as far as the Bible goes, it's completely accurate as far as the film goes. (When was the last time you guys watched that film, anyway?)

To other things:

"I'm not proud to say I'm a high-school dropout," she recently admitted. "I'm not proud that that's something that happened, but it happened."

Hilary, honey, that didn't "happen". It was something you did. So be a big girl and take responsibility for it. (

And:

"Who else would kick off his Oscar campaign by depriving Academy members of their $100,000 gift bags?"

How about Sean Penn? Sounds like something right up his alley.
