What I don't get about this is, if you're concerned about the video appearing on the internet, why keep *any* copies at all? I can't imagine Mrs. Irwin would want to watch this video. Nor wanting her kids to see, either. I can't see this on the level with the Zapruder film.
I can't help but think that some time, years from now, we'll see a story about the tape disappearing from wherever it's stored and, yes, showing up on the internet.

I was never a big fan of Steve Irwin, but I, like most people, was saddened by his death. There have been countless stories about it, and apparently now the press, or at least The Fix, has wearied of calling the bizarre event "shocking and tragic." But referring to it as a "deadly meeting with the business end of a stingray" strikes me as glib and disrespectful.
What gall this man has. Walters makes her public statement then he immediately goes and points the finger, she's a liar! She can't tell the truth so I'll do it for her. What a crappy friend, even if she is lying or spinning her feelings, it's her business, her employees and he has no right to interfere.
Plus how weak, just because he doesn't like Rosie he's got to get other people to back him up, even if they won't in public.
