Star Jones should have killed Larry King and eaten him LIVE
See, that's where she went wrong on Larry King. She should have hopped over the table and grabbed him like a praying mantis and bitten his head off, then squatted on the table and consumed his whole scrawny, decrepit old body, suspenders and all. Then she could take over his show.
Now that would have been the right career move.

I bet Lil Kim was GOD in prison
Hey, if Lachey's flaks were smart, they'd tell him to pass on any of Simpson's money. Looks like he's trying to maintain a high profile, release some records. Positioning himself as the wounded gentlemen in this affair could only boost his Q rating. Nicky, call me. Bring the clicker. I may break double digits this weekend.

Earth to Star...
So you're a tv personality and you're fired because, well, the audience doesn't like you. Does Star Jones really think throwing herself in front of any nearby camera with her rictus smile and passive/agressive bile will make her more popular? She's creepy and she found herself on a pretty creepy show, and even that didn't work out for her.

It was one thing to be creeped out by the wheezing and shrinking Star Jones
but it's another to have to listen to that cold hearted right-wing twit, Elisabeth--who defended Ann Coulter's 9-11 widow bashing the other day.
I hope the fur flies when Rosie shows up.

Star Jones
Star Jones has a career? I thought she just mooched off of people.

Better times ahead
Star Jones is one classy lady, in my view (pun intended). She could have played the race card, but she chose not to. Don't worry, Star! What goes around, comes around, Girlfriend. I've got a feeling that there's something huuuuuuge waiting for you, just around the corner!
But that begs the question: How long can those of us who are faithful "viewers" continue to remain faithful to a show that fired its African-American Star, and replaced her with a white woman?
Since its inception, "The View" has done more to raise the consciousness of American women than any other media program. Which is why it's such a shame to see it end so badly for SJ. Although the effect was unintentional, I'm sure, this sordid event has only served to reinforce the vicious stereotype that says that women can't trust each other.
What a shame.

Reply to Moishe
Agreed that it's positive of Star Jones not to play the race card. But in fact, Rosie O'Donnell was hired to replace Meredith Viera, who left the show before Star made her surprise announcement. The View is currently considering other women to replace Star and you can bet your life that this new addition will be an African-American. I have even heard Whoopi Goldberg's name mentioned, but I doubt if the show could afford her and Rosie. It will probably be someone from the soaps. Kelly Ripa seems to have worked out for Regis.

Talk Shows
Under the Talk Shows section, why don't you list Tavis Smiley? Lots of us watch his show each night. Thanks.

Star WHAT?
I have watched the Star Jones phenomenon, or whatever it was, from the beginning, at least from the beginning of "The View." (I was unemployed for a while and had WAY too much time to waste on TV in those days.)
Miss Jones was an accident waiting to happen from the very first segment, in my opinion. Even before she became the poster child for product placement (they should have a constitutional amendment against CELEBRITY marriage!), she used her race, weight, law degree, anything she could scrape up, to align/ingratiate herself with whomever or whatever could help her cause, which to the best of my understanding, has only been herself. I am to this day baffled by her success (okay, she certainly worked hard for it!) but not at all surprised by her ultimate disgrace. Trust me: this girl is through.
To Moishe, I have to say, Girl, pick your battles. This woman may be Black, but she's nobody to root for. Her inauthenticity alone should move her to the back of the "bus." And by that I mean the bus of HUMANITY!
Let's all just move on, here. Nothin' to see.
