  • Schwarz?

    Rage?

  • Death Forecaster is Defective

FYI - the death forecaster doesn't work. It asks a series of questions and then purportedly gives you a summary of your answers and the age at which you are theoretically expected to die. However, the summary presented to me contained significant errors that were materially different than the data that was input (e.g. unbeknownst to me, I am apparently now a 30+ lbs overweight chain-smoker. Who knew?).

  • things that make you go WTF?

[Britney's "nanny" Perry] Taylor apparently wanted to head to either Iraq or Afghanistan after graduating in 2000, but went to California to be a bodyguard instead.

Now, why exactly would he have wanted to "head to either Iraq or Afghanistan" way back in 2000?

[Katie Holmes will] reportedly get a house in California and $3 million for each year that she's married to Cruise (up to $33 million) if they end up getting hitched and splitting. But if she decides not to go through with the wedding, Cruise may play hardball. "If she walks now, Tom will fight her for custody of [daughter Suri], and Katie can't outlast him in court," an insider tells the gossip mag. "She knows she needs to marry him to get the money to fight him for custody, if it comes to that."

Ah, the sanctity of marriage. Yes, we really do need a Constitutional amendment to make sure that gay people can't sully this honorable institution. Why, they'd destroy marriage as we know it! We simply must make sure marriage is protected, otherwise gays would be able to participate in such sacred, righteous traditions.

  • Is Tom the Baby-Daddy?

If Katie walks now, she only has to fight Tom for custody if he is the baby's biological father. If he's not, then he has no parental rights and it's a legal slam-dunk for Katie. If they had been married when the baby was born, he would be legally presumed to be the father. But they weren't, so now he may need the marriage to strengthen his claim to fatherhood. If that's the scenario, then her bargaining power has never been greater, which may explain the apparently generous terms of the prenup.

  • Brad and Angie's baby BIG PICTURE

I really don't care about Brad and Angie's baby, although I must say I'm beginning to admire her and not only for her obvious talent as an actress.

I just clicked on the story by mistake :) But now that I am here... This story, where Angie and Brad don't feel the need to marry, coupled with gossip about Horrible Heather and Poor Pathetic Lonely Paul, the richest and possibly the most talented man in Britain duped by a tart, and Bush's latest push to ban gay marriage... They all tell a story. I'm not sure what story: maybe that marriage, traditional marriage, is about money and not about love or family. You can have love outside of marriage. You can have good parenting outside of marriage. I saw some of the presentations given by Senators, (on Jon Stuart) and they were clearly insane.

Oh, yea, it's a beautiful baby. Surprise!

  • Bodyguard's credentials?

LaurieNY, I thought the same thing about the bodyguard. Details like that that don't make sense make we wonder the validity of the whole story.

  • The Nanny

Didjman, methinks mommy was just trying to puff up sonny boy to make him sound all macho and un-nannyish. She should have checked her calendar first.

I also love the inference by both Salon and Mommie Dearest that the rumor about him and Britney couldn't possibly be true because he is involved in a long-term relationship with a beautiful woman.

    Yeah. So was Brad Pitt.

  • Aniston v. Jolie smackdown

    Yeah. So was Brad Pitt.

It is really not too difficult to see why Pitt left Aniston for Jolie. Just look at the two women side-by-side.

Look, I like Jennifer Aniston; she comes off as very sweet and cute. She is also quite funny; in addition to Friends, she was quite good as a cast member of The Edge, Julie Brown's (the white, talented one) sketch comedy show on Fox. But beautiful? Eh, I wouldn't go that far.

In contrast, Angelina Jolie is drop-dead gorgeous. Have you seen her in Gia? On the basis of looks alone, there is really no comparison.

Shallow? Of course. But given the propensity of quickie marriages and even quicker divorces amongst those in the entertainment business, it is evident that there is not a lot of depth to be found in many of these relationships to begin with.

  • Wow, manatee

It is really not too difficult to see why Pitt left Aniston for Jolie. Just look at the two women side-by-side.

I'd sure hate to be your girlfriend/wife. Is that how you decide whether or not to stay with your partner... if someone else is prettier? You put her side-by-side with the other woman, and leave yours if she's not as gorgeous? Geez. Talk about "not a lot of depth"! I really hope what you said just came out wrong.

Anyway, all I meant is that being involved with a beautiful woman doesn't guarantee that a guy isn't going to stray. They're making out in this item like "so much for that rumor... he couldn't be with Britney, he's in a relationship with a bombshell!" (Oh, now that you put it that way, of course he's not bonking Britney.)

    I can't believe I'm even discussing this.

  • Wow, Laurie

Speak for yourself. I've never understood why anyone thinks Jolie is "drop-dead gorgeous". To me she looks like a cheap stripper. Her body is all out of proportion, as are her facial features. As to her "acting talent", well, she'd make a great stripper.

Jennifer Aniston is no extraordinary beauty either, but at least she looks like a real woman, not a blow-up Barbie doll.

  • Bodyguard's Credentials

After graduating from USNA went to CA to be a bodyguard? There is a five year service requirement after graduation from a military academy, and being a bodyguard in CA isn't on the list as far as I know (I attended USNA but did not graduate). Something fishy!
