Great tune!

It sounds a lot more disco than new wave, to my ears anyway.

Haines' solo album "Knives Don't Have Your Back" is a gem too, and sounds absolutely nothing like this. I love her versatility.

This song

is from the 1999 album Grow Up and Blow Away that never got released because of Metric switching labels. It sounds distinct from their other albums because it is only Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw, the original two members of Metric, performing on the album mostly with synthensizers(sp?). The album is being released in June, with the "new" album (newly written) being released sometime in October.
