one correction
great version of this classic song - thanks!
one slight correction though: the damned's lineup for this period was vanian, scabies, brian james on guitar and sensible still on bass at this point. james left after the 1st album and sensible switched to guitar.

"Neat Neat Neat"
. . . and another correction. Contrary to the title heading, this version of "Neat Neat Neat" is not "previously unreleased," and has in fact been widely available - even in America - for the better part of two decades.

And a nod to Mr. Lowe...
Nice to see the Damned getting some mention. Let's also not forget who produced both the single and the album (Damned Damned Damned) in question: Nick Lowe. It's a shame how overlooked he is -- most people probably know him from the "Cruel to Be Kind" single. But from his own brand of literate post-punk (Jesus of Cool) to producing many of the best early-period Elvis Costello albums to writing "The Beast in Me" (first-season "Sopranos," anyone?) this is a man with some amazing accomplishments.
