even though she committed a crime, it's all ok now because she said: "i didn't mean to do it."
can we take this statement from a high level DOJ lawyer to mean that criminals will now be able to avoid responsibility by taking the "goodling" defense- just say "i didn't mean to do it."
great.
she, of course, will avoid punishment for her misdeeds since she was granted immunity. in bushland, that is what is meant by Accountability.
a great country... i mean it was a great country. now reduced to pure farce.
our troops deserve a better leader than bush - as someone wrote here. yes, true enough, but i'd like to remind you that 80% of military families voted for Bush. both times.
so in a way one could say that they got what they voted for.
americans should have learned by now that if you elect a dunce to high office, bad things will happen. an election is not a simple popularity contest; leaders need a certain amount of knowledge, wisdom and skills. while bush may have seemed the kind of folksy guy one would like to have a beer with, it was obvious that he was totally unqualified to be president.
so american troops dying in iraq are just one result of faulty thinking and voting habits. remember, the best candidate is not just the hypocrite who prattles on about jesus....
if this dude Galen was press sec'y to Dan Quayle- not the brightest bulb in American politics, it is hard to take him seriously. and his article shows a lack of smarts.
maybe he is just out looking for a new job...
he will be pardoned, just like pappa bush pardoned the iran-contra crooks.
isn't this the rule rather than the exception?
what can one expect from such a antiquated authoritarian business that is run by an old ex-Wehrmacht macher?
remember what PRIEST stands for:
Pedophile
Resident
In
Every
Small
Town
since impeachment is not possible, is it? the Dems show no guts for this move.
the Repubs in the Senate will mostly stand firm for their ordained Leader-Boy, and prevent a 2/3 majority from doing the deed.
so he will continuue his Royal-like stance until he finally leaves office Jan. 2009 - if he does exit.
a dark blemish on US history.
don't you realize the mathematical impossibility of getting a conviction in the Senate for the impeachment of Dick the Crook?
the loyal GOP hacks in the upper house will stop it. they would not vote against cheney if he were found in a crack house in bed with a 13-yr-old boy.
all impeachment talk is a hoax. will never happen with these clowns in Congress.
(tho i hate to cite that dunce for anything) -
"Trust but verify."
now apply this to the cheney Trust business.
sure, these crooks should be impeached, but all these calls for impeaching them fail to calcuate accurately.
it takes a 2/3 majority in the Senate to get rid of Bush via impeachment.
does anyone seriously think those repub. loyalist robots would vote against their Leader if impeachment came up in the Senate?
the pro-impeachment good guys would lose....count the votes yourself and stop this naive talk.
it sickens me to see leahy joke around with arlen as if they are pals.
guess who approved that entire patriot act part that enabled bush to appt. people without senate approval.
time to get tough- sara taylor no longer works for bush. she could be cited for contempt and sent to jail. bush can always pardon her.
so what if arlen votes against it. how many votes does he have in the committee?
i wish leahy would wise up and let somebody with guts take over this committee. as usual, the dems play softball, while the repubs. play hardball. remember cheney on the senate floor telling leahy to perform an impossible anatomical act on his lower regions. that's an example of how those guys play ball.
but leahy never learns. he just jokes around with arlen (i saw the two of them on wolf blitzer CNN 2 days ago) as if they're all just a bunch of nice buddies. meantime, the USA goes down the drain as the constitution gets trampled by the Dunce Leader and his gang.
isn't it unusual for a person being questioned by a congressional committee to be allowed to have a lawyer coaching them?
i recall that bush had to attend the 9-11 commission with cheney holding his hand. but ms taylor is in a different ballgame.
can some lawyer out there clarify this?
or did specter sneak this one by the dems as he did with the rule allowing bush to appt. people without senate approval.
looks like another inquiry going nowhere.
just put this taylor "loyalty first" in jail. hey taylor, the truth comes first, not your loyal pledge to your Leader.
jakcheng says "voters are smarter..."
that's a laugh. if the voters were smart we wouldn't have seen the Dunce Leader in the white house the past 6 yrs, with 2 more to go.
the voters are mainly fools, following the media and preachers. and most rely on gut feelings, i.e, charisma, folksiness, etc.
in America rationality plays a small part in choosing the pres.
i live in Europe where people vote their economic interests; not vague delusions such as "family values."
look at all those nice family-values politicos facing the music- e.g. Vitter, Foley, and all the others who won the voters' confidence with their hypocritical sanctímonious lies.
"you can fool enough of the people all of the time...."
