Nice Try Sean

But it don't wash...First....Hillary understood and agreed to the rules of this primary season....second....Hillary went along with excluding the results of Florida and Michigan....until of course she needed those votes...third...Hillary has a 37% approval rating...and that rating has acturally been DROPPING since the primary season started...Like it or not Sean the Repo attack machine has had 16 years to villify Hillary Clinton...Outside the NY/La bubble for the most part Hillary is dispised...Now don't get me wrong...if Hillary manages to get the nomination I will vote for her willingly...I think she'd be a more than competant president....but so will Obama...forth...your argument seems to be that Obama will not win strong Democratic States like NY and California simply because he lost the primaries to Hillary?...If that is your contention you're even more delusional than Hillary....The reality Sean is Obama will win the Blue states and he has a much better shot at getting some red states than Hillary ever will...And I'll tell you something else Sean...If this drags on to the convention with the Clinton's using their take no prisoners strategy and Obama gets the nomination but goes on to lose an election that should have been a democratic cakewalk....guess who's gonna be blamed for the loss?....It would be a sad end to the Clinton era...

Original article: Kristol plays the Marx card

Most Dangerous Man In America!

Well, maybe not the MOST dangerous, but this pseudo intellectual is up there....Who else in this country is in on the planning of the worst foreign policy blunder in American History and then has the unmitigated gall to set himself up as an impartial commentator lying about how successful it has been. I don't know what is the bigger crime, taking this putz seriously or the NY Times giving him cred by printing this crap...SOMEONE should expose this guy for the fraud he is...Big media has been giving this nut a pass and quite frankly I don't know why...

Original article: What Sarah Palin means

Hail Mary is Right

In 2008 Hillary Clinton ran for the Democratic Nomination and lost. The lesson of her campaign was NOT that she lost because she's a woman, but she lost because she ran the wrong campaign at the wrong time against a candidate who ran a great campaign and hooked in early to the wave of change that is sweeping the country. Hillary's campaign was a triumph of the feminist movement of the late 20th Century. The fact that Hillary is a woman was an incidental factor, not THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE factor.

This Palin pick for Repo VP is a total misread by the party of post feminist America. Yes it will shore up the repo base because of her position in fundamentalist right wing circles, but that probably would have happened anyway as we get close to election day. But Palin attracting pro choice, pro equal pay, anti war disaffected Hillary supporters? A Rovian-Flush Dimbulb wet dream. The Dems will shoot her down real fast without ever having to bring up the fact that she's a woman. Hillary proved that in post feminist American politics being a woman is not an asset nor a hindrance, but irrelevant. Thank you John, you just made the Obama victory that much easier.

Perception

In this media age it's all perception...to the people that are just tuning in to the election NOW it's not really important what was said but how it looked and sounded while it was being said....Obama came across as calm, in command, knowledeable, PRESIDENTIAL....McCain came across as a cranky old man for some reason pissed at the younger guy.....

McCain is a decent man with an interesting personal history...WHile I don't agree much with what he say's I do admire the guy....But either he's decided or his handlers have decided that the only way he can win is by tearing down Obama...It won't work...You can say it's his age or his infirmaties due to his injuries as survivor of a crash and as a POW but compared to Obama this guy in a public head to head forum is just outclassed...Obama moves and carries himself as an athlete...McCain,well, doesn't....

For the first time last night I became convinced that barring any sudden change in the landscape between now and election day...this is OVER....And I think the final electoral totals for Obama will approach 330....

Jackie Robinson

There is one real similarity to Jackie Robinson....When Branch Rickey decided to break the "color line" in Baseball he knew he needed a GREAT Ballplayer AND an individual who had brains...He needed someone who would be able to take all the crap that was going to be thrown at him...both verbal and physical...and let it all roll off him....to rise above it all...

Now Obama wasn't chosen by any one person for the role....but he is a superior intellect...one of the best political "performers" I have ever seen...and he stayed above all the crap that was thrown at him...
