Countrywide

I am a huge lefty and yet i don't belive that Angelo Mozilo is the bad guy here. He started this company and built it from the ground up. There is no fraud here - he's not another Bernie Ebbers. It is not his fault the mortgage market is tanking. He didn't drag these people into his offices kicking and screaming making them take out a mortgage they could not afford! When do the people who took out these mortgages get to take some responsibility? If you only make 30,000 a year what makes you think you can afford a $200,000 home? Caveat Emptor - right? Countrywide was not a huge subprime lender, that was a very small part of their business. I can't believe it, but in this case, i agree with the righties. Mozilo didn't do anything wrong.

disgusted beyond belief

someone needs to convince me to vote in november, because at this point i am inclined to just stay home. i cannot vote for obama anymore. just can't do it. yes i know he will be better then Mccain but i don't care anymore. too many smart people i know think that the govt spying on us is no big deal so i say let the country get what it deserves. if they don't care, why should i? its too much to care anymore...i have a stomach ache almost everyday over this criminal, corrupt administration and the lack of anything being done about it. i am sick that they will never be held accountable. i cannot believe we are going to let them get away with it. let a repbulican win so when this country goes even deeper into hell they can't blame the democrats - although at this point they are just as responsible as the republicans.

so someone convice me - why should i vote in november?

keep it going

for all of you obama lovers that are telling me to vote for him anyway because he is better then mccain and i need to look at the big picture - UP YOURS!!! this man has betrayed us and his own principals. and i don't care if he can "fix it" once he is in office. that is not the point. he lied! i am tired of liars. i feel suckered by this guy - and please don't tell me i wasn't paying attention to him because i was. he was different, i thought. hope, change -what a load of crap. the only way i will vote for him is if he does put Dodd on the ticket. otherwise i will either stay home or vote for mccain to spite him. it will make me sick to my stomach to vote for a repuke - but obama made me sick when he voted for this bill.

just because you love obama does not mean you shouldn't critisize him - thats what the loyal bushies do. your guy can do wrong too and its our job to recognize that.

Interview

Glenn

listened to your interview with this Cass guy. You were fantastic! He was, however, the same old mushy mouth apologist for Barack Obama and his reversal on the fisa filibuster. as well on whether or not to hold this administration accountable. Glad to hear you saying all of the things that i would like to say - simple truths and facts. Can you imagine if Bush were a democrat and the way the republicans would be talking about accountability??? Democrats need to stop trying to walk the middle line and stand up for our principles and stop trying to be the "nice guys". it ain't working and i am sick of it.

thanks for speaking the truth!!

huh???

clearly mccain is just dumb. i didn't think he was stupid, but this pretty much proves it.

how embarassing this must be for the republicons...

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Original article: Who is Sarah Palin?

rosenkavilier

this is the first time a black man has been elected to run as the presidential nominee of a major political party.

that is huge and you should not take away from this milestone because you are a right wing partisan hack.

we should all celebrate this milestone - regardless of political affilation. we should all be proud americans.

don't try to take away from that.

really - i thought for just a day we could all come together and be happy with ourselves as americans.

Original article: Those liberal elitists

oh red - you are pathetic

i am sure a liberal has never ever adopted a baby, right?

and i just love how the McCains are not using the story of their adopted baby to garner good will or anything (snark, i am being snarky). in fact, they tried to make the story even better by claiming it was Mother Theresa that talked them into taking the baby home.

give me a break.

fix your headline

howard stern did not "help" auction off a 22 year olds virginity. are you going to correct this?

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 05:48 AM

no liberal has said that

where is your source? what liberal specifically has questioned whether she can be a mom and a VP? i think you are incorrect. republicans have been throwing out that straw man argument, but it is false. not one liberal has questioned that. if i am wrong, show me...
