"You can be so proud that, from now on, it will be unremarkable for a woman to win primary state victories, unremarkable to have a woman in a close race to be our nominee, unremarkable to think that a woman can be the president of the United States. And that is truly remarkable , my friends"
This campaign has proved quite the opposite to me ,tho I agree something remarkable has occurred . And Hilary did not lose because of sexism -we all did.
Given the nutcracker dolls, the C.U.N.T. group getting national MSM press, the willingness of the left to slur their own mothers and grandmothers as bitter old bixxes and rabid single issue voters, MSM pundits indulging in the kind of stereopical slurs that are publically unacceptable against a black candidate , it appears that previous civil limits on attacking women have been effectively abolished.
African Americans willing to to resort to campaigns such as Bro's- before- Ho's and telling African Americans that voting for H.C would be an act of self loathing has decimated a previously functional collaboration in fighting oppression. Factor in the endemic lack of respect and regard for women past 40, who are no longer useful as breeders or sex objects in this culture, this campaign has demonstrated to me that indeed ,to the contrary,it will be quite remarkable for a woman to win in a presidential race, given the widespread wilingness to employ misogynistic tactics .
Given that H.C had PLENTY of policy error to go after (and her opponent is charismatic and a masterful campaigner), that these tactics were resorted to are puzzling.I can only conclude that people were gleeful to find a public venue to vent on women, en masse.
It will be even more remarkable to find a woman who would even want to subject herself and her family to this kind of hate! The ceiling hasn't cracked, the Left has.

"That is the kind of woman I am waiting for to be our first female President."
You want a President like Your MOTHER? Multiply that by 37 million and I start to understand exactly why Hil was perceived as incapable of doing anything right.!
to be an American. heartbreaking story. These poor prisoners have been sentenced to purgatory - and GWB is the Satan in charge.
So Alice wasn't a perfect traditional mother. Evidently her fame and personality continue to support Rebecca even now as subject matter.
What can we expect from Rebecca when Tenzin grows up and complains he felt smothered by Rebecca and was never encouraged to do for himself ?
Thanks Garrison for a positive but not gushingly so , post on Mr Obama. You gave credence to many people's concern's and you didn't need to call them racist.People do have other doubts about Obama, that have nothing to do with race, like youth and resume. Not tthat the other candidate 's was much thicker. And the candidate with the thickest resume of all is pretty scary., considering out present circumstancs.
Just today I was thinking about the different people I have met in my life ( and I am by no means mingling with the hoity toity), professors , business people, doctors, founders of non profits and I thought damn - there;s a lot of brilliant people in America- this place is amazing. And my mind moved to the the presidential election and I thought 'so why can't we get candidates that are amazing. Is this the best America has?"
I guess it has something to do with needing to fall in the in median range, that just doesn't tolerate genuis.Maybe we tear down those who make us see how we've fallen short.
.
Obama may not be every body's "torchbearer' but maybe we ourselves could elevate him to a very special turning point in American history by ceasing to tear him and each other down. I hope by continuing our involvement with organizations that represent outr interests we can influence him, even if he is not our first or even second ,choice.
