hasn't it been said that to write one needs to live?

You are going into unknown territory - what better time to observe and reflect on something that will be a new experience.

And at the same time begin a dialogue exploring the underlying premises of your living.

It may be downhill from here , hell it may have been downhill for the last 9 years but you didn't notice, but you are still above ground and that counts for a hell of a lot...

In 15 years you may look back and think of your young , uninformed self who now contemplates suicide for what will seem a mere inconvenience in the future.

Mortgage brokers don't care about the numbers they only want a closing

I find that out when I first applied for a mortgage and the mortgage broker told me I could afford 100K. Since I was barely getting along with a 400 a month rent I was baffled. I had to redo the numbers in front of him several times to prove to him there was no way I could afford over 40K. After that I knew they were just used car salesman .

Unfortunately we seem to think that someones specialty makes them special - it doesn't.

Original article: Biggest "Idol" upset ever

Lambert became a parody

which is what bands like Kiss and Queen are all about. After a while they just seem like a lot of noise and spectacle and are exhausting . He presented a finished product of 15 or more years of theatrical training that allowed no interaction with the music. It was about HIM , not about a dialogue between the ausience and the person on stage. He is immensely talented and will go far in the world of consumer products, I hope he chooses another path but it will be hard as the vultures descend.

Kris on the other hand, given just a fraction of the training Adam has had, grew before our eyes and sang songs to people in the audience, songs that touched them.He always seemed vulnerable and real.

Rush must be a top

no matter what the situation.Whatever it takes - Viagra , Oxycontin,an ostentacious home,a couterie of truckdrivers worshipping him, viciously insulting the 13 yr old daughter of a President , paying brown children to service him in foreign countries his self esteem is so damaged that being a top is the only way he can reassure himself that he is superior to others despite never being chosen to be on anyone's team - he must spend his time on the air convincing others that there are hordes slavering to mount him.

And the media plays right into his fantasy.

Original article: Don't judge the chemo kid

How is chemo different from waterboarding?

For one thing the effects last much longer and are systematic effecting every organ of your body and will continue to harm your health for the rest of your life, apart from the intense pain you undergo during the multiple treatments..

And the state has decided their agents will force it upon you whenever they want, no matter that it is bringing you to the brink of death and often over the brink .

As a nurse I find American's desperate approach to healthcare treatment gives LIE to the nonsense that christians spout about their belief in an afterlife ,and/or a omniscent God of love.

All Hail MERCK!

Why does pro -choice end with abortion?

There are many who believe there are worse things than death.

Being tortured against your will is one of them.

No child should have to suffer pain and lifelong consequences to satisfy the self righteousness of hypocrites who spend trillions to kill children in other countries while demanding that one child meet their requirements to prove themselves "concerned"and

solicitous about childrens lives.

Minnesota must have generous healthcare to force it on people

Maybe the mother should move to any one of a number of states where not only are people allowed to choose to opt out of medical procedures they don't even get a chance to opt in.

Or some of the states here in the south and southwest where running water and sewage systems are considered extravagance, not

health issues. These children can die from diarrhea and poisoning from toxic waste and no one blinks. Not only is there no "concern" from white liberals they spend their time criticizing the parents for not attending more teacher/ parent conferences.

isn't this the first step to jailing people before elections

since their opposition can be construed as "disturbing the peace"...the peace of the incumbent that is.

I guess that makes us ....Pakistan

Original article: Rx and the single payer

how are Americans to obtain employer based healthcare when there is no employment?

Young people often skate by on good health despite poor and parttime jobs, but most middle aged will never have a good job again after this last financial catastrophe, and it is far to go til Medicare.Their pensions and retirement accounts are busted.

Well Obama's thinking must be its a good way to kill people off and decrease the drain on Social Security coming up. Amazing how you can get two birds with one stone.

What I would like to see from Obama is NO INSURANCE FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES as part of a budget cutback.

I bet we would see a drastic change of heart!

Boy do I feel like a fool

When I got over my head in debt I worked two jobs to pay off our creditors because I thought since I bought the stuff it was my responsibility to pay for it. It took 3.5 years.Stupid me

and now how stupid do I feel to actually be paying my mortgage every month when I could just be living in the house rent free , saving money. And the kicker is after getting my family out of 50K in debt on a nurses wage I don't qualify to work as a Financial Advisor for six figures For the NYT.

How about we stop the aid we give to Israel?

They have a system of universal health care coverage and seem to be thriving financially , if you consider the money they spend on cluster bombs alone and funding new settlements.

And after all they got all their land for free.
