Disappointed by Joan Walsh and the Salon readers

In my book, liberal means openness to a variety of points of view. Knee-jerk reactions and intolerance of people's deeply held religious feelings have never been part of the definition.

I voted for Barack Obama because he has shown the wisdom to acknowledge the validity of multiple seemingly conflicting points of view. This could make him the most liberal president we've seen in a long time.

Maybe I'm a wierdo, but I see his inclusion of Rick Warren to be a very promising indicator of what to expect from President Obama.

Just because you call yourself a liberal doesn't mean you are one.

You know you love it Glenn

What else would you do all day without windmills against which to tilt?

Stop Counting

When I focus on numbers, quantities, days, hours etc. it is harder to actually enjoy my life. Every second becomes excruciating and endless. It's MUCH easier for me to let go of those meaningless numbers and distract myself with the beautiful struggles of everyday life. Each of your problems can be broken down into small chunks and solved like a game or puzzle. Play the game instead of keeping score.
