Original article: New heights of stupidity

counter this nonsense

There are clips of Cheney and McCain using the exact same phrase. Certainly the Obama campaign can come up with an ad splicing them all together and ridiculing the whole thing.

grow a spine, democrats

Use the same sort of veiled attacks as Palin. She attacked Michele Obama by saying that she has always been proud of her country. Obama/Biden need to say things like, "Our opponents advocate abstinence only sex education. How is that working for our country with its soaring teenage pregnancy rates?"

Time to attack. The high road doesn't work. Don't praise her speech; tear it apart.

off topic but I'll share anyway

My local television station just had Hillary on talking about Ted Kennedy. The caption on the screen read:

Senator Hillary Clinton

(R) Presidential Candidate

Has she officially changed parties?

oh, just calm down

We have a long time until the general election. As "the optimist" I believe that wounds will be licked and healed and those who profess that they will not vote for the democrat, if he/she were not their first choice, will come around when the reality of having another 4 (or 8) years of Bush policy, and vote democrat. Of course I do not include in this formula the Republican moles in this thread.....whose posts I do not read.

greenwald.com please

Let's just bomb this whole site and change it to greenwald.com so we can have more of this. Pointed, intelligent, funny, and concise.

And to a few of my fellow letter writers, try to keep your letter shorter than the article.....

naively optimistic

I've been reading these threads off and on for a while now but have refrained from posting because my sensitive nature keeps me from wanting to be ridiculed for my support of one of the candidates. The level of personal vitriol is very disturbing. However, I am cautiously optimistic -- probably naively so -- that when the general election rolls around, all of the supposed democrats on this thread will rally around the democratic candidate and return us to the White House. Please prove me right.
