Looking for Mr. Mediocre

Oprah did a show on professional women dating blue collar men several years ago. I don't recall these women using the words 'settling' or describing themselves as 'pioneers'. I think the topic is old news. Are all the true feminists really dead?

Original article: Our Jennifer fixation

JA Fix

I enjoyed the article by R. Traister and the letters in response to the article even more. I am compelled to read whiny, complaining, self rightious responses so I can feel self rightious when I write to complain about them. Because you subscribe to Salon doesn't give you the right to censor what Salon chooses to publish. Most of the opinions on the article were snobbish and reeked of a sense of entitlement that only can come from the creature I like to call the 'Great American Crybaby'.

Dear Guilty Step Mom

Children are extremely resilient and intuitive. They will grow up to do their best whether you like them or not.

It's Amusing.

We don't NEED these tidbits from Martha's kitchen the same way we don't NEED junk food. Please pass the chips.

Original article: The stay-at-home mystique

Regarding the Homey's

Staying at home is living on easy street. It's HOME. I work at home and I would never want to trade places with anyone who has an 'outside' job. If I had to stay at home with children I would be bored and frustrated but it would still be easier then earning a living elsewhere. Stay at homers have it easy.

I loved this

I really enjoy video dog, but the grizzly man spoof is the best so far. Keep up the great work. Betsy B

I can understand the concern

I understand the concern for using real names. I also enjoy reading the made up names especially when the names reflect a further opinion on the topic.

I exhibit art work on line and use my real name as do many other artists and craft people. So far no crazies have tried to get me.

Less Drama Please

Gavin Newsom has made San Francisco a better place by creating programs that improve the 'everyday' quality of life for the people who live here. He has created programs that help the homeless, that focus on disaster preparedness, and that provide health care for the uninsured. I don't care who he sleeps with, I really don't. Betsy B

Original article: Screw you for not smoking

Me Too!

While you withdraw from the smoking addiction all you can think about is smoking; how you smoked, when you smoked, who you smoked with, what brand you smoked, smoking on the beach, smoking on the way to the beach....smoking withdrawal smokes up your brain and you can't think straight. You have alot of klutz moments, you forget where you are going, you forget where your hands are, you are remembering smoking....and spending all your energy on remembering smoking and not smoking.

One of the best Rabbit Bites yet!

Very funny, although my favorite to date it the Rabbit Bites segment about the TV show Cheaters. I wish we could see that one again! Betsy B

People need to stop comparing

Please people, its not a contest to compare which violent act is worse. People were reporting animal abuse at the Vick property for years and then finally they got some results.

When people speak out in the defense of animals it has nothing to do with how they feel about abused wives, child abuse, or rape or sports figures who act violent. It is based on how they feel about animal abuse. Stop trying to rate which violent act is worse and start working towards a kinder and gentler world.

2 Vick C0-Defendants Enter Pleas

Just an Update:

It's up to Michael Vick now.

His last two co-defendants pleaded guilty Friday and implicated Vick in bankrolling gambling on dogfights. One of them said the Atlanta Falcons quarterback helped drown or hang dogs that didn't do well.

With his NFL career in jeopardy and a superseding indictment adding more charges in the works, that left Vick with a hard choice: Cutting his own deal to hold jail time under a year or go to trial and sit through detailed descriptions of the ghastly operation known as "Bad Newz Kennels.

I copied this from an AP article.
