  • Keeping Women Informed

So this is the sort of thing that Salon thinks women want to read. With Mary Kay pink borders. Instead of that guy stuff on the front page.

  • Video Dog

[Read the article: Neighbors from hell]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Unfortunately I cannot view Video Dog on my Linux computer which has a RealPlayer but for which Quicktime is unavailable :(

  • It does a lot more than that.

Honestly, Planned Parenthood has it's heart in the right place. Sometimes, though, I wish they'd get a clue. was introduced back in November and since then has had objections from lots of folks not the least of which are mental health advocacy groups. A coalition of opponents organized in, say, December would have a great deal more power than a press release now.

Of course it is horrid. Of course they speak out of both sides of their collective mouths. Let the states decide about abortion but silence their voices with the profits of their friends play a role. But there are better ways of dealing with such issues.

  • Sheesh

Zogbar is why people hate vegans.

And I have never been able to tolerate Rachael Ray long enough to discover what she cooks or how. She is so perkily annoying.

  • Amazing

You'd be doing her and the rest of us a big favor if you would just trade her in for a blow up doll.

    What a tool.

  • Buy a Guide?

[Read the article: Destination: Southwestern France]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The "Buy a Guide" link takes me to Amazon which seems to be offering one copy "new or used" for $526 plus dollars. It seems a bit excessive.

  • The Ghost of Christmas Past

TK, I'm right there with you. I do believe this is my last visit to Mr. K's column.

and not one -- NOT ONE -- mentions the ducks. I'm so disappointed.

  • Fer crying out loud

    [Read the article: TV Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Give them more than one day. Geez. Look, I'm as big a snob as the next person but even those of you who pretend to only deign to listen to classical and shun the TV catch a glance at it once in a while. You know who you are.

Salon, thanks for trying and for keeping it fresh. You aren't perfect but you're a damn sign better than the next best thing out there.

  • Walk a mile in my shoes

Yes, yes, there is something to be said for personal experience but it isn't everything. The old saw "you aren't me so you don't understand" is (still) being used as a club to enhance one's street cred. And it alone is seriously crap. I don't have to be a murder victim to figure out that I wouldn't like it so much.

Seriously if the black experience is lacking from Ms. Steinem's work, how about a couple of insights or examples from that experience instead of just a club?
