Fred isn’t the only conservative calling him Betrayus. I as well as several others have made comments on Blackfive criticizing Betrayus’s Letter of Death.

I could repost some of them here, but it would be easier for people to go to the posts themselves.

    And

  • So the understood, if unspoken, threat

Lets see if I have this straight. Muslim suicide bombers exist. Therefore if a Muslim objects to something as being blasphemous, then he is automatically issuing a death threat even "if unspoken" or in other words even if he isn't issuing a death threat.

No wonder RWA's lash out so blindly. Every time a Muslim blinks it's a terrorist threat.

  • Classic lie. Check the technique. You'll encounter this one again.

The fascist anti-semites and Islamofascists are responsible for wars and the deaths of millions

Lets try to break this down a little bit. How many death are "Islamofascists" responsible for? Because last time I checked the only tie between them and the Nazi's is Elephantman's sayso. Do I need to explicitly state what I think that's worth?

But by contructing this neat little phrase "fascist anti-semites and Islamofascists" the lying pachyderm gets to multiply his alleged death toll by several orders of magnitude.

There was a time when "idiot" and "imbecile" were considered technical terms. Those days are behind us. I think you should retire "Islamofascist" for similar reasons. It's meaning has been hijacked and the damage is irreversable.

  • Both religions have blood on their hands.

True, but I don't think that this is the best strategy to counter the absurdity. My owm personal feeling is that murderous lunatics, idiots, brilliant people and people who simply wish to be left alone are all pretty well evenly distributed throughout the world's population. The trick is to create social structures that allow them all to live together causing the least amount of damage.

I've always thought that the US Constitution was a good place to start, particularly with its explicit injunction to keep the business of Government and that of Supernatural Beings in separate realms so that neither imposes upon or distorts the other.

I also think that most religions as practiced are in fact manifestations of tribal tendencies that, like language, we are born with the capacity to develop, complete with particuar stages at which we are susceptible to the cultural transmission that renders us Christians or Muslims or Buddhists or _________(whatever).

I guess the point I am trying to make, is that we face an uphill battle fighting the prejudice and hatred that motivates these people. But God help us if we don't try.

  • Um yes.........

So does anybody seriously argue that the Islamofacsism threat, while not the only threat to world peace, stability and economic growth, is anything other than the most serious threat?

Just because your pissing yourself doen't mean that any rational analysis of the various dangers we face put Islaminc religious exremism high on the list. Especially if you consider stability and economic growth as things to protect. That would put peak oil, prolifigate military spending and oil consumption and the possibilty of the Chinese calling in our debt as significantly more serious threats.

    Boo!

How many family members or aquantances of YOURS have been killed by Muslim extremists. Now imagine for a moment, that your a typical Iraqi? How many family members or aquantances have been killed by US soldiers?

Clearly your exceptionalism blinds you to evil committed in your name but the fact remains that the US has killed tens of thousands more people than the Islamofascists have. Just because we aren't a danger to YOUR sorry ass doesn't mean we're not a threat to world peace.

  • Much is revealed....

Do you realize that the imams were returning from a conference in Minneapolis on how to increase Muslim political power in the States?

    OMYGOD!!!!

Imagine Muslims actually wanting political power! Next they'll be wanting to - like - vote and act like citizens.

The above commenter takes issue with Glenn labelling someone a conservative when he should be properly identified as a warmonger and then turns around and calls Glenn a liberal when he sghould be more properly labelled a civil libertarian.

    Go figure.

  • Now that we've registered our "disapproval"

[Read the article: Jamie Kirchick's fantasies of the grave Muslim threat]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What do we suggest as a course of action? As was mentioned upthread the object of our disapproval is a creed with 1,565,280,000 adherents. What are we suggesting we do with this annoying 24.79 percent of the worlds souls?

If its any consolation, they run up against similar difficulties as they comtemplate the problem of 1,927,953,000 professed Christians.

  • Considering the source.

I vote for the latter. Shahin is connected to 9/11 - deal with it.

Be forwarned that this thread is officially going to hell. GB is tenaceous, persistent and dare I say it obsessive about his hatred for Muslims. If allowed, he will continue to be demonizing that quarter of the planet well into the night.

But I can rest assured that if he tells me Shahin is connected to 9/11, then I must bow to his inferior judgement.
