If the dog had not stopped to shit, he would have caught the rabbit.

  • Egomaniacs

[Read the article: What George Tenet really knew about Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bush, Blair, Cheney, Berlusconi, Rice, Wolfowitz, Perle, and on and on. And as far as intelligence is concerned, any agency named for it is oxymoronic. Believe it, personal experience of mine. Unfortunately millions of people are fooled and used, thousands had to , and still have to die and get maimed for the glory of this group of "freedom" obsessed leaders, in reality nothing but idiotic egomaniacs.

  • Florida

[Read the article: Florida election mayhem for 2008]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The primary was moved for the simple reason to guestimate the required voting fraud to help the next repugnican candidate win as Bush did in 2000. Nothing new here.

  • Could it be?

[Read the article: Libby spared the clink]

That the real compromizer of the famous CIAs is named Bush?

  • Admission

[Read the article: Bush and Cheney walk, too]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

By converting Libbys sentence, king George has silently admitted his involvement in the outing of Valerie Plame as a CIA secret agent. What more proof is needed? Libby covered both Bushes and Cheneys asses by not divulging information he certainly possessed. Not only did he lie but did so under oath and as a lawyer he should have known better. Afterall this administration is based on lies and deceit and in starting the war of aggression in Iraq did not serve the interests of the USA but of another country alltogether. Any doubts about this are squelched by the behaviour of Senator Liebermann, who contrary to the point of view of his former party supports this distastruous gang of neo-cons. The status of the country in the world has been badly damaged and is more so day by day. The coalition of the willing was with few exceptions a group of minor importance, contrary to the first reaction after Sept 11 when all allies enthusiastically supported America. All this bending of laws achives is lowering the possibilty of a republican victory in 2008, as a matter of fact it will help to create a democratic majority. Thankfully this may be a plus to whoever suceeds the shrub to restore some semblance of law and order and most of all sanity in the country.

  • Are you certain

[Read the article: That's How You Got Killed Before]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Twice dead and still alive? May be you should learn to count. But then Cheney was sure they would all be wiped out some time ago. In the meantime Bush will create even more terrorists with his next move if Iraq is an example.

  • Newspapers

[Read the article: The ongoing journalistic scandal at the New York Times]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

With the proliferation of other sources such as the net, newspapers are becoming more and more irrelevant. The "embedded" reporters were the American version of the "Kriegsberichterstatters" (the word alone is an abomination) of the nazi German press who had to write what Goebbels ordered them to do, regardless of the truth. It is shameful that of all the correspondents at the Bushite press conferences there was basically only one elderly but experienced female reporter who had the balls to ask pertinent questions only to be relagated to the back of the room where she could easily be overlooked. The "Free Press" is becoming more and more of an illusion, especially with the evergrowing influence of the likes of Rupert Murdoch and others like him. In Chicago a jury is deciding the case of a certain Lord Black of past press glory who also more or less dictated the contends of his papers in the US, Canada and Britain, whose main interest was the collection of Dollars. As it seems the editors of the majority of publications dont do their jobs either by not questioning the veracity of the reports. Thankfully though, the internet provides us with the fact that we can read not only one but a plurality of papers and opinions and depending on our language skills those of other countries with more critical views.

  • Predictions

[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The feckless president is already a fact. And the calamity Janes he is talking about have one experience that Feckless andKristol as well as the Dick never got, military service in battle.

  • Reading ability

[Read the article: Leahy and Conyers blast back at White House "stonewalling"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

King Georges ability to read seems to be badly lacking when it comes to reading the Constitution, maybe smirking Dicky can read it to him some day.

  • You are right on Steve in Buffalo

[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Point for point you stated it , deserving an editors star for sure. One point is doubtful , however, that certain Laura may just be right. Her king George may well be suffering. He sure as hell is in a mess and may, in spite of his stupidity, have realized that his little war in Iraq has grown to a point were it is definitely lost and that his reputation is down the drain for good. The worst president the United States has ever had.

  • Hey Vitter

    [Read the article: Vitter apologizes]

I heard your confession you sinner, but forgiveness? Not granted. The nonexistant Lord

  • How about it?

[Read the article: Make that four for McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Is it time yet for Mr.McCain well known for his changes in points of view to pack it in himself and go for walks in SAFE Bagdad instead?

  • Bullshoot and Lies

[Read the article: From Bush, more of the same]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"I Never wanted to be a war president" then why were plans in the works to go after Saddam even before the gift presented to him by alQaida on 9/11? And why did he attack Iraq in the fashion created by Adolf Hitler, illegal war based on lies and deceit? If he has problems today and is suffering as his equally stupid wife Laura claims, there may be some people to blame who had the intereswt of a third party in mind and to whom he listened, apart from the interest of the Oil industry represented by his second in charge , Dickyboy Cheney. The American people believed him cswince the press did not do its job by not checking the information passed on to them in the proper fashion. Democrats were also at fault by voting mindlessly for a war that was unncessary and made the village idiot to what he claims he did not want to be. He should TFU.
