[Read the article: Bush pulls the Petraeus card, again]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That is why during the visits of Blair and the UN Secretary General mortar rounds exploded nearby. And why McCain needed hundreds of troops and a helicoper screen to do his "free wandering" shopping trip. Incompetent Bush sounds off, as usual, Um. eh, see, but he himself is ignorant and seemingly blind, carry on Dumbo! And as far as the press is concerned? They hunger for his words and dont even know how to ask they right questions. Or may be dont want to.

[Read the article: Wolfie out, Frist in?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The point you raise is just what makes Frist the prime candidate. Corruption ala Wolfie got to carry on. And since he was (and is) corrupt, Frist would make the perfect replacement.

  • Condy for Pres?

[Read the article: All aboard the Condi Mobile!]

What next? She is qualified. She can lie.

Evidently the bird had an inkling what came out of Dubyas mouth, only bigger.

  • Memorial

    [Read the article: Memorial Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Watched the movie Forrest Gump on Saturday night. Apart from the sick commercials peddling "Memorial" day sales for SUVs and other crap to make MONEY, this oldy reminded me more then ever before of the idiocy of wars and its killing and maiming. It also brought into focus the parallels between Viet Nam and Iraq. Except of course that Viet Nam had no oil. Who divided that country in the first place? After thousands of deaths and many more thousands of maimed, the US finally was forced to bring the troops home. The movie also depicted vividly what happened (and is still happening) to those who came back maimed. Bet your butt, those service dodgers in the White House did not watch the film. They could not care less, did not go to any military funeral and never had to share the feelings of those of us who saw good friends fail to return from their mission only to be remembered by pictures on the wardroom walls. For Petes sake bring them home now, we dont need thousands more to loose life and limb in the cause of overblown egos.

  • Your country thanks you

    [Read the article: Memorial Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Easy to say for the aggressor. What did he suffer? May it be the dawning of the thought that he missed? He weaseled out of Vioetnam thanks to daddy's position. If he is so gung ho about making war, why dont his daughters serve the country?

  • Or may be

That rats are leaving the sinking ship!

NCLB, was he ever left behind. And that is supposedly a Harvard grad? who did he pay off?

[Read the article: One picture, one thousand words]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

One: a protective garment, two: a lying Bush ars kisser and secret ambassador of a foreign country camouflaged as an independent Senator.

  • Christians?

    [Read the article: Moral relativism]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Both DeLay and Gingrich claim to be adherants of that faith, in realty they a hypocrites of the worst kind believing that repenting makes them clean. As an atheist I wonder what I could have used as an excuse, but than I never needed one in over 53 years of marriage, in spite of many chances.

  • Cheneys visitors

[Read the article: None of your business]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What is he worried about? Could it have been visits by Ambassador Wilson? Or may be those who blew the cover of the ambassadors wife? And they call that democracy?

  • I forgot

[Read the article: None of your business]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I wonder if the Enron gang was on those lists? Or may be others like them?

  • Double Negation

[Read the article: Bush on Karl Rove and America's soul]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It is normally regarded as a strong positive. No wrongdoing done? Brother, does he need to learn English, and that is the President, Decider, leader of the free world which definitely deserves better.

  • Reagan II ?

[Read the article: Yes, and we'll miss seeing Rudy in drag]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Was the first one not enough to kill the taste for Hollywood in Washington? I would prefer the West Wing gang. On second thought, anyone would be better then Rudy.

  • And who created Darwin?

[Read the article: Inside the Creation Museum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Carnivores were feeding on what? Was not the Fauna part of the "created life". And who says that Adam and Eve were white? Where did, for instance, the natives of Australia come from? And all that only a little more than 6000 years ago? What a joke. Typical religious (and racist) bullshit.

  • Anonymous who needs the Museum

[Read the article: Inside the Creation Museum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Keep up the good work, see you in heaven, hell or wherever. We all have to die whether or not we believe in the crap presented in this "Museum" and spread by the likes of Falwell, Roberts and those who digraced themselves by not even living up to their preachings. The sun still revolves around the earth, which by rhe way is still flat and on its foundation! What is scary, however, is the number of ignorants like you in a supposedly enlightened society. Heil Bush!

  • Yeah, and the earth is flat

[Read the article: GOP senator blames Democrats for troop deaths]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

And it were Franklin Delano , Harry S, John F., D J,Jimmy and Bill who ordered the invasiopn of Iraq. Being a Senator does not mean you cannot be an idiot, that previlege goes for some presidents too, especially the present one. Afterall some democrats even voted for the bill to start the aggression which was based on lies and fraud. So blame them ye good ole repugnicans.

  • Surge?

[Read the article: The slow road to "progress"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Could it work the other way too? Like the Operation Iraqi Freedom and the flower throwing jubilant receivers of that type of freedom, which in realty was hatred of the oil hungry occupiers? Military force to install democracy? What a fallacity! Fighting terrorists by creating them, George you need to live in an asylum instead of the White House! Admit you lost it. Both the war and your mind.

  • Democrats debating?

[Read the article: Not exactly must-see TV]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Why didn't the choose the Repugnican convention?

  • Scooter

[Read the article: What are they saying about Scooter?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Instead of being locked up with the keys thrown away, good ole Georgyboy is going to parole him. Afterall with Rove getting away with revelations why should he be locked up. And GWB broke already many promises including going after those revealing names of CIA agents, why should there be an exception?

  • Tough guys

[Read the article: Fred Thompson, "tough guy" and "folksy cultural conservative"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How come all those toughies weaseled out when it came to serve their country in the military? With few exceptions the Repugnican top echelon fits that category. Fighting wars is really not for them, starting them is another matter.

  • Three versions - one conclusion

[Read the article: Maybe he really is "the commander guy"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

A brainless bumbling idiot. However, if anyone thinks of impeachimg, make that in two versions, the decider and the guy behind him. And make it soon if you have the balls.
