  • Disaster

[Read the article: "Fool me -- you can't get fooled again"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The real disaster lies in the fact that thousands of people on both sides died for the idiotic worldview of the neo-con pseudo-fascist gang around the worst president the US ever had. They are actually worse than their political ancestors, since the original faschist and nazi regimes looked after their people on the social front. This administration with the highest deficit numbers ever, could not give a monkeys ass about the 20 % of poor people in the country, be it on the medical or standard of living questions, while billions are wasted every month on the military/industrial complex and the oil industry, as well as on the pusuit of their military adventures. The deception and outright lies and the later denials thereof stink to high heaven. The illegal Iraq war, however, blends in nicely with the actions against Ethyopia and Poland by the original fascists. The Lebanon excursion by Isreal, encouraged and supported by the Bushmen, turned out to be another failure, regardless whether the president calls it a defeat of the Hizbollah or not. Israel after winning every war in its history within days, could not accomplish a repeat in over a month! Now we are getting ready to show Iran what "Shock and Awe" means. Lets hope that the Shock and Awe does not again occur at home. Time to stop the nonsense. Incidentally the disaster of New Orleans is not solved yet either. The wasted billions would have sufficed to rebuild it better then ever before. I forgot, No Oil under the old city.

  • Good Night

[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When did Joe Liebermann fall asleep? And what sleeping pill did he use? Wake up, man. What you describe is already fact.

  • And good night again

[Read the article: How the other third lives]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

John Hinderaker seems to have joined Joe Liberman in the sleeping pill binge. Now there would be a big bother.

  • Who is qualifying?

[Read the article: George Allen's "macaca" two-step]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Any born Californian draped in a confederate flag to gain popularity in Virginia qualifies perfectly not only as a macaca, but really as a Supermacaca asshole.

  • What a Jerk

[Read the article: Bush to widow: "No point" in talking about the war]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How would he know about loss of loved ones? He did not even fulfill his duties as a homefront National Guard Officer(?- a joke really) during the Viet Nam War. By all counts he is not even a commander in cheese, let alone chief! Never mind the swaggering affair he put on in May 2003 on that aircraft carrier. He even lied about the Mission being Accomplished. Almost all casualties occured after that show. How he feels for the families of his victims could not have been demonstrated in a better way. There is really nothing philosophical about those losses. The were completely unnecessary, especially since they were the result of an illegal invasion of a foreign country, again based on lies and deception. Why would anybody expect feelings from this AWOL artist and Warcriminal!

  • Wrong

The real macacas name is Allen and he should go to remidial classes for public behaviour of elected and wannabe reelect politicians.

  • Polls

[Read the article: Another Republican visits Iraq; another Republican changes his mind]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The questions may be tricky and slanted toward the originators ideas. When the reasons for the war in Irak turned out to be lies, anybody with half a brain reviewed their answers and probably changed their mind. When if became obvious what kind of a president George W. really was, even more people would make an about face. The interpretation of any poll is still largely the mind of the pollster. It is clear, however, that a majority of Americans stand against the war, even though they support the troups on their fraudulenty ordered mission. The state of their mind is shown by the difficulty to gain new volunteers and the reluctancy of retired Marines to come back to serve. The war is highly unpopular no matter which poll is shown. Even Fox News, the proverbial ass kissers of the administration, had some surprises and to their credit made them known.

  • Harris in Heaven?

[Read the article: Katherine Harris in heaven? It's more likely than the U.S. Senate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If I believed in heaven, I would do everything possible to stay out of there to avoid a certain K Harris, especially if it was to be eternal.

  • Predictions

[Read the article: Well, we could have predicted this]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The earth is really flat,Noahs Arc floated up a mountain and Katerina Harris goes to heaven and there is no global warming. How could a hurricane dare to interrupt the presidents wood chopping spree in Crawford? and the leevies ? Who could predict they would break? Seriously, the billions wasted on the war in Irak would have build an unbreakable dyke around NO . And who would predict that NBC would tell the truth.

  • Elected

[Read the article: OK then, it's unanimous]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

gradysu is absolutely right. Bush was smuggled in by Katerine Harris and the Supreme Court at the first term and by fraudster in Ohio in 2004. Long live King George the W.

  • Hooked

[Read the article: The Frappuccino generation]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Any wonder that obesity is on the rise? With the loads of sugar and fat in the foodchain including drinks, is anyone still surprised? Money and greed governs, especially in Corporations like Starbucks. Use the Caffeine to hook them young, make them firstly overweight and secondly obeese. Great idea, may be Starbucks should start a subsidiary weight reduction company, that would double their profits.

  • How was this again

[Read the article: Harris: Did I say Christians? I meant Christians and Jews]

One Nation under God? Whose god really?

  • The Senate

[Read the article: A write-in candidate for Virginia?]

A really thorough housecleaning is in order!

  • You are doing a heck of a job Dana.

[Read the article: It depends on what the meaning of "quickly" is]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Post 1 is right, and they did it largely without foreign help. In Europe they had the Marshall Plan to help, it still did not take 10 years to rebuild the bombed out cities. But afterall they did not waste billions on a military/industrial complex an d had an intelligent leadership.

  • Wow

There is hope yet, Texans seem to wake up.
