Original article: Betrayed by Obama

Obama's mask coming off

As you may recall, back in Jan 08 or so, Obama appeared on S&L and removed his mask on national TV. This is the same Obama that has no problem stealing a nomination (with the help of DNC) that belongs to Senator Clinton. I will not vote for him no as he does not need my "racist" vote. remember he said Hillary supporters were not voting for her but were voting against him because they are racist!!! He should be ashamed of himself. I am glad the rest of the world is seeing Obama in the same light as many of us have seen him for a while now.

Rebecca, what happened to you?

I read your articles religiously and am surprised that you choose to write about bacon when SO MUCH more needs to be written about Obama's stealing of the democratic nomination with the help of DNC via caucuses! Maybe, you just needed a break, or I just missed a bigger picture:)

I am bitter an am hanging on to my "racist" vote

sometimes I wonder why people like Walter Shapiro are able to write for Salon when clearly his argument does not follow logically. I am one of those people that will not vote for Obama because I saw first hand how DNC and Obama stole the nomination. Go ahead call me a conspiracy theorist, I have been called worse by Obama supporters before. The political scientist he quotes use data from 1976 to show why Clinton supporters will vote for Obama, because they have nowhere else to go. How about factor of the arguments being different from 30 years ago!! Being in close contact with some of Hillary supporters, I can tell you that many of us don't suffer from "abuse women syndrome" and will rather be on the "streets" than go back to the "abuser". DNC and Obama made me "decline to state" out of a life lone democrat. And yes, many core democrats are women, but they are also sare women who value themselves and their vote. They get dumped on at work and at home, they certainly don't want to be dumped on by DNC and Obama. Sadly, I have seen too much to be able to vote for Obama. Why is there not an investigation of caucuses by DNC? Why is there not an investigation on why Obama would do well in open primaries and lose to Hillary where only democrats could vote in close primaries? You want my vote, but haven't done anything to earn it!! I would like to see how the dems are going to win without women, Latinos, senior citizens, jews, working class... who supported Hillary. Keep on telling yourself that we will vote for your guy, if you say it often enough, you may start believing in it, meantime we are bitter and will hang on to our "racist" votes.

I will not reward a thief

Ms. Traister is correct in outlining some of the reasons why Hillary people are angry, but I can tell you that she is incorrect in assuming that we will vote for Obama (if Hillary is not on the ticket). Perhaps, she is projecting. This week, I got a phone call from a 72 old woman from TX whom I met while campaigning for Hillary (she was my precinct democratic judge in TX). She wanted to know if I was voting for Obama, I said no. She said that she is really torn because she can't vote for McCain and she is a life long dem who first attended the democratic convention in her parents' arms when she was 6 months old but cannot vote for someone who with DNC's help stole the nomination. she and her Hispanic friends will stay home this fall I was told! This kind of conversation is the real news that nobody is covering. I know many people think that we suffer from "abused women syndrome" and don't have a "shelter" to go to, but I have heard many voices from TX, NC, PA... who called me and told me that they can't reward the DNC and Obama by voting for him, they would rather be "on the street" with nowhere to go to than to go back to the "abuser". Just because the media didn't report on the details of how Obama stole the nomination, it doesn't mean that the Americans didn't see it. Forget about the October surprise, there will be a November one!!!

Joan bashing

No wonder not many journalist say it like Joan does; I just read some of the comments re her "A new low inn Clinton bashing" article. The Obamamenites have been able to silence many in the media (bought them or threatened them to be called racist if not for Obama). Joan Wash really is an exception who has the courage to write about what she see. Joan, please disregard the idiots who posted comments. they are like their candidate; a sexist pig!! But the damage is done, I know tens of people who are democrats and will not vote for Obama after seeing how he has behaved during this year. My friends say; "he has eggheads and African Americans," he doesn't need, Women, Latinos, Jews, working class, senior citizens.... The rumor is he will make us drink Kool-aid and vote for him in the fall. I, am not drinking that stuff as I have seen what it does to people's common sense (which is not so common these days).
