Dear God...

Thank you for your response to the aspiring dog killer. I read through this letter and felt disgust not only as a dog owner but as a caregiver myself. We, as a culture, need to be assessing the problems that lead us to trouble with caregiving *period* in a problem solving, compassionate manner not in a way that negates the feelings of other living things that mearly inconvienance us.

I would like to give the proverbial pat on the back though to the writer as that is something that I do not see often in the media or U.S. domestic policy and it sounds like he or she is assisting his or her parents but please don't kill that dog, sounds like that act could very well kill her will to live.

As an afterthought though...how's about some universal health care for the parents who don't exactly sound healthy, eh? or tax breaks for caregivers! i'm just saying...the baby boomers aren't getting any younger! and if those things exsisted perhaps you wouldnt be recieving letters about troublesome pets from stressed out, unprepared caregivers!

ex-con

so you help the guy, the kid ruins your shit, you help the guy, the guy takes you for a free ride in car repairs.

honestly if you confront him he just might punch you in the face or set the raving nieghborhood brats upon the rest of your belongings so here's a thought; forget about it (your not getting the money back, hate to break it to ya), don't do anymore pro bono auto work and keep an eye on your belongings. not so warm and fuzzy but its advice i've had to give my "give you the shirt off his back" dad time and time again after watching him get screwed over by schmucks he cant say no to because they always seem like "good people".

this is why people mind they're own business and don't mingle with they're neighbors now a days.

What John Edwards was up to in 2005.

Why havent you guys looked into John Edwards employment with Fortress more? The guy worked for a hedgefund that bought into a couple of big players in the subprime market in '05 (one of them, Nationstar, actually foreclosed upon Hurrican Rita and Katrina victims).

I worked for one of the entities that was bought out by fortress and was actually laid off prior to that buyout so I find it very frustrating to watch Edwards spout off about his fight for the working, middle class because I was actually laid off in the midst of my former employers negotiation with Fortress! He didnt fight for my job then!

Please see old Post article below. Edwards claims he didnt know about the hedefund's involvement with subprime lenders at the time but come on if he didnt know about major trends in his own employers investment strategies how can he be trusted to lead the country (essentially I don't know whats worse, ignorance or deciept).

Shudder

Edwards is a hypocrite with zero compassion. Talk about a campaign with a lack on conscience. I guess strength of character would encompass aligning yourself with hedgefunds that boot out Katrina victims?

yup

and hillary was also drawing the conclusion that obama has far less experience then Kennedy a historic figure that obama is also trying to subliminally mirror his persona after...stop with the free association with a by gone era folks...hillary just released the details of an economic stimulus package to show she has the chops to actually help the black vote, the woman vote, the youth vote and the over 40 vote.

she's got the chops, lets vote on the issues and forget what might be fashionable immediately this second.

thank you

for finally reporting this! if its a choice between Obama and McCain your going to then consolidate voters who appreciate Hillary's experience the most...like more baby boomers then we've probably thought...remember these people broke for reagan in the 80's why? well, as my mother who has voted the democratic line since Clinton explained "cause she felt safe under Reagan".

Remember these are also people who lived through the enormous learning curve encourted by Carter, gas shortages and *stagflation* in the 1970's. This is something that I believe urgently needs to be discussed and taken seriously by the Democratic party before they sent they're candidate out to the races.
