@pdx

I'm sure it would to you.

Now try spending some time pivoting the late up to date polling data from all polls, say on realclearpolitics.

It's bad. And not getting better.

Florida and Ohio are gone. 5-8 points McCain has held constant. Washington, Michigan Pennsylvania,Wisconsin, Minnesota dead-tie. Obama loses even one of those and it's all over.

Hell,Obama has a 2 point lead in New Jersey. Even New York is somewhat in play.

So yes, I can see why you WOULD want to hang out on Salon with the converted (all what, 30 of them) but you're in for some increasingly bad weeks ahead.

Plutocrats and rats of the GOP.

W/O apology I admit I'm "infatuated" with proven leadership and prosperity the Clinton's brought. A little regulation on the rightful heirs to the larger share of America's hasn't made pions out of them yet.

For cheeseballs who are forever spouting off your phoney beliefs in free market you certainly go to hell's length to prevent the plutocrats that own your disgustingly bought and paid for Repugnant politicians from ever having to face any free market competition.

So sing on your schizophrenic prose while you can. But you're going down with the ship too and as many a plutocrat wannabe found out today, putting an "R" after your name won't save you.

@cabdriver -SOS.

I appreciate the time it took to compose that windy tripe but just what in the hell does it have to do with the fact Obama prayed on the lunatic left's one-note pet issue (Iraq) off a three year old speech for some Iranian fundraisers in Illinois, got Oprah to hoof for him for 3 weeks in Iowa and then sealed the nomination with race-baiting, threats and skewed lefty-caucuses and that he's now sinking faster than an upstream canoe with Oprah on it.

As usual you ratfks misdirected your anger at the center-left and cost the Democrats the election. Blame yourself. Nobody made you do it,much less repeat the same idiotic mistake over and over AND over for 40 years.

@Klytus - er, I mean Uncle Fester

As I said PIVOT all the polls for the LATE results.

I even gave you a website for crying out loud.

McCain is ahead of Nobama in Virginia,you know the state you spent a fortune on by at least four points. Ahead in Florida 5-8, Ohio 5-12.

Meanwhile Obama's "lead" in states he shouldn't have even had to think about like NJ,NY and Oregon is 2-5.

Dead tie to behind in ALL the upper midwest battlegrounds of which he cannot lose a single one

Meanwhile McCain doesn't have to fight for any GOP turf or the Southwest. Can spend ALL his money coming at Obama on the states he can't lose ONE of - hell, he can get NJ and possibly even Mass and NY. That's conceivable.

Put another way, you are F.U.C.K.E.D. Dukakis is going to seem like a popular guy on November 2nd. Now we DID try to tell you.

But whatever,live in denial for another week or two if it makes you happy. Waste another 500 bucks.

@cabbie

Unfortunately objectively the numbers don't (even remotely) support your koolaide. Each passing day looks worse and worse for the SS Obama. Pity you wasted so much money on the charlatan but then his non-accomplishment record and crooked associations were long avail.

You wanted to have your election against Hillary instead of McCain. (After all attacking some poor sob on the center left with a 90+% friendly record is the ONLY way the driveling, bucktoothed left can feel like it has any power.)

Have your childish tantrum elsewhere please. It changes nothing for you and nobody cares. You are despised now not only by the right, but by mainstream Democrats and independents too. Rightfully at that.

yeah yeah klytus fauntley manos jeffersonian fester payne, et al.

Objective analysis of the numbers is real bad news. We both know that even if I still don't know which side butters your bread. Or care.

As always attacking the center left and fkg up the election is the only way the left can still feel relevant.

The left wanted to have the election against Hillary instead of the Republicans. They had your fun burning the barn down and pretending they mattered.

But now it's over.

yah, dream on.

You'd have a point about this being an opening if Obama had any history of fixing anything.

Reason number 1 to have nominated Hillary. Americans trusted her to fix the economy again. They don't trust Obama to. He has NO record and people don't buy the koolaide the lunatic fringe of the left does. They want to see RESULTS and ACCOMPLISHMENT.

the fringe left is f._.c.k.e.d.

hee hee.

Phew! I thought for a moment that they were going to have to nationalize Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae at taxpayer expense, but fortunately the free market took over.

word.

word 2.

Just read this, though, from an Obama supporter, no less. No only are traditionally blue states suddenly becoming toss-ups, but it seems Obama has abandoned Virginia.

So much for his 50-state strategy.

We can only hope and pray the lunatic fringe will keep on sending their $$ to him right through November 1st so they're too broke to screw up yet another election for the Democrats.

true,but yours too

Neither McCain nor Obama have responded in a rational manner to yesterday's market dip. The media coverage has served rather to reinforce Americans' economic illiteracy than to correct it. But Obama's rhetoric -- in a period of moderate economic growth, no less -- has been so alarmist and unwarranted that it raises valid concerns about his grasp of reality.

true but yours as well. near ALL of the gains of this "modest growth" has stayed in the hands of less than 1/10th of 1% of the country. People are HURTING out there,dude.

The SS Nobama is pulling out of Virginia...

The koolaide-crowd is so f_cked. LOL!
