Liked your article.

Thought your article was an intelligent comment on the Smart car. I don't think I will change my Honda jazz just yet for the Smart until they have updated their milage per gallon and brakes. I am going to be moving from the country here in France to Brussels in Belgium. One certainly needs to have balloon protection on the side of a car there, and traffic is also horrendous there. I hope you will continue to keep us informed about the Smart.

Original article: Rush Limbaugh was right

what bad taste!

I am amazed at the cover of the New Yorker. What bad taste. Maybe many people will think it is funny, but I don't think, given the publicity, it will be understood by a lot of the American population. Who is behind this? Obviously the Republicans! Here in Europe we have not lost our sense of humour, but I have heard nothing but outrage from many here. I subscribe to a lot of American publications, but over the years I feel there has been a lot of dumbing down in many of the written articles. I will be cancelling my subscription to the New Yorker for sure. Appalling, Appalling!

OBAMA has to win!!!

Why do Americans have to have a President like themselves. In Europe, not that our system is perfect, we seem to vote for someone we think is more intelligent than ourselves. You have

already had Bush the puppet with a low i.q. who has already caused chaos in this world with his cowboy mentality, do you really want a moose-hunting bear shooting veep who is only a heart beat away from being president, to be in charge of this world. Good grief no-way!

Please America vote for Obama........he is your present day Abraham Lincoln, and perhaps saviour. Let intelligence rule O.K.

The way he treats his wife!

Have you heard how he speaks to his wife in private. i.e." she does not smear her face thick in make-up" Mmmmmmm.....how men treat their wives is indicative of their true character. He's in love again.....with a beauty queen........no wonder his wife is addicted to drugs!

Obama is the only leader one can choose

McCain with his dirty games and immoral stance is not intelligent enough to be a president. Even if Obama is not used to dealing with the economy he is intelligent enough to choose the right people to work with him. One has to ask oneself what are the problems of this world in the 21st Century.

1. A republican bailout of companies with tax payers money! Yet no help for the vulnerable citizens with debt problems.

2. Too many people on this earth to be sustainable. We need to educate the people of this world so they can help themselves more and sensibly reduce the population. Corruption is a worldwide problem also. The gap between rich and poor is outragious and something has to be done. How many houses does McCain have while so many have none?

3. Green renewable energy. No more digging for oil. McCain is an old man so I have the feeling he does not care what happens to this world. Palin just wants power....frightening if her fingers are on the nuclear buttons

4. Americans have to realize that they cannot afford to wage more wars in this world. They have to regain the respect of this world and calm down. Obama can do this.

I could go on

Has McCain Been botoxed!

Have you noticed that McCain's face does not move much. Has he had BOTOX injections to make him appear younger? His best expression seems to be a sneer. Please don't let him win. Obama comes accross as being a good man and I think he has a hard time being ruthless and rude.......doesn't anyone see that?

McCain is dishonest!

My goodness how low does this man stoop? How on earth can you want a man who lies so much to be your president? He even lied about his Vietnam experience. What with the incompetance of Palin and the lying of McCain, I don't think America can afford to vote for them.

I think you will be doomed if you do. Obama has Abe Lincoln calm and intelligence.

Thursday's debate.

I would say I look forward to Thursday's debate. If she is not capable then hopefully that is the end of McCain. What an old dog he is with his sabre rattling.......a continuation of Bush. Here in Europe we watch in horror your presidential election. God help America if you choose McCain and Palin!

Falsehood!

I have wondered about this lie of McCains and why nobody looked at the details of this dispute between Georgia and Russia. I also wondered why the U.S. would argue against Russia, when if the Russians were to occupy the whole frontline of Canada and Mexico, the Americans would take up arms. Putin has given the Russians their self respect back and filled the shops again. Do you think that the average Russian in the street is going to go back to old times? Don't you remember the empty shelves, and lines outside shops? We just have to deal now with a mature and more sophisticated Russia. Stop Georgia from joining Nato. They do not need it, it is just provoking Russia. Just remember Cuba! Hopefully Obama is aware of this.

Original article: Why Palin still matters

Palin

You are absolutely right. My goodness we looked on in horror from Europe that McCain could pick someone like this. We had lost respect for America for choosing Bush, twice! Please, please make sure this choice of Palin is looked into seriously so that she does not stand a chance again of coming to the top in politics. Obama comes across to us as a decent and intelligent human being. We need to give him all our support in these difficult times.
