The kids a slacker
[Read the article: Virginia schools' Web scandalette: "Get over it, kid!"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The kid was an idiot. 3 inches of snow? Oh my god lock yourselves in and stay safe. Its 3 inches of snow. Its the end of the world. Everyone knows no one has ever gone to school with 3 inches of snow. No school has ever been opened with 3 inches of snow.
Everyone who was ever a kid knows he just wanted to get out of school. If you're for the kid you're a fool.

Exactly
[Read the article: John Edwards exits with honor]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just like the previous poster it seems downright shameful that Salon decides to write about John Edwards now especially from Shapiro who hardly mentioned him in all his writings here. Salon, you obviously had a candidate all picked out. You had an agenda and you hardly gave Edwards a chance to get heard. This piece won't hide that fact.

Oh no not again
[Read the article: The bull market for forgotten films]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yeah i will watch No country for old men in 2017. What I won't be watching is Juno which was aged even before it was released. Your bashing of the Coens film is obvious your infantile obsession with box office numbers to bash it even more says alot about your hackery.

Harlan is great
[Read the article: Still has a mouth, and still must scream]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Finally Andrew you have done well. This s the kind of thing you should be doing. great interview.
Don't know why so many here are so upset with someone voicing their rage. Seems we need more of the Harlans now more than ever. His rant on the current administration was priceless.
Seems people aren't getting the fact that even though we are knocking our heads against the wall just to get by that doesn't mean we have to surrender to the lowest common demominator culturally. just take a look at the popular books and films of the early 1900's to see how far down we've come. And those people a that time had it harder.
We, like sheep, have surrendered our rights and dumbed ourselves down so we can buy stuff.
Go Harlan go for as long as you can.
Thanks Andrew.

Enlightening
[Read the article: What can and cannot be spoken on television]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Thanks Glen for focusing on something rarely discussed. One of the best pieces on the profound subtleties that can be missed and so critical for us to understand. Thanks

Beautiful as usual
[Read the article: Theirs not to reason why]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Garrison you are a gem A major reason to support Salon.

Feel like you've been cheated?
[Read the article: Clint vs. Spike: WWII racial grudge match!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Spike subtly called out Clint as a racist with his comment. Clints response to shut his face was appropriate.
Spike is trying to sell his film at Cannes and needs publicity, thats why he said these things in an open press forum.
Andrew and Salon have taken a non story and kept it alive seeing the race angle as a site numbers grabber.
If Andrew thinks Spike could have done better with "White Hunter Black Heart", a great film, he truly is a tasteless no nothing I always knew he was. Spike hasn't made a good film since Malcom X whereas Clint hits it out of the park consistently.
Andrew, Salon, and Spike are playing you all with this crap. Clints response is perfect not just for Spike but apropos for Salon and Andrew.

Glen you are the best
[Read the article: Obama advisor Greg Craig: Adding insult to injury]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I just have to applaud you Glen. Your work on this has been amazing. Right on the money and fair to all.
You are exactly the type of journalist this country needs, beholding to no one but truth.
And to those that chastise the rest of us who are withholding are donations to the Obama campaign because of this and a list of other very very recent grievances I say too bad. I will not give money to someone who is going in the wrong direction. I will not abet this direction and the consequences will not be my fault but Obamas.

Waht the hell?

So, I ask: what are your plans for a public awareness campaign beyond an ad in WaPo or the Times?
-- Mike NYWI
Glens writes an amazing piece for Salon, he's been hammering this for weeks, he's taking out and ad with his dollars, he's put many hours reading documents and others opinions, in order to explain and edify and you want to know what plans he has for public awareness. F**k You. What are YOU going to do. It seems the problem we face is indifference and lazy motherf**kers like you that sit back and expect someone else to fix the problem. If Its your government, take it back.

Go fuck yourself mico. I am in here trying to change the way activists on this issue see themselves, so that they can be more outward oriented. It's not about whether Glenn does enough. He does a shit load, but I think a lot of it is counterproductive IN CERTAIN WAYS, and I'm letting him know it. He can tell me to get lost, but he doesn't. He's responded to about ten of my comments since I started reading his blog two weeks ago or so.
I'm describing what I find in this space, and talking about how I think it could be more effective in meeting its goals.
Glenn, if I'm not welcome in this space, or if you do not appreciate my contribution, please let me know. I'll bop on down the road.
-- Mike NYWI
Oh man you're as useless as I thought and a martyr seeker at that. glad to hear that you're here trying to change activists. What activism.
Why bring Glen into this regarding if you're welcome here or not? Who said you weren't. My god the lameness need for attention.
My apologies Glen I'll keep my mouth shut from now on.
