@Xanthro

Don't be so naive. Taking on the party has been very lucrative (financially and politically) for Sarah Palin. I don't think she is THAT smart. (They aren't letting her answer any questions yet on policy--because she has no stances on policy--she is a puppet) Do you really think she got to where she is without any support from within the party? Rove is a pretty cunning "dude."

@Xanthro

There is nothing she can say to sway me. Nothing.

"We can debate the details till the world ends, but the citizens of Wasilla voted for the measure, and are still happy with the measure. In the end, that's what matters."

Really? (Let's see how they feel in about 20 years when they are still paying off the debt and need to start making some repairs on it.) Kinda like most Americans feel about the big houses they can't really afford, either?

Well, I guess then they have the perfect candidate, don't they?

All can be true. I am exploring her record and it keeps validating my decision that she is very dangerous.

Gotcha politics are easy with someone with such a thin record and each item is a gotcha.

I have never attacked you personally. Stop the snide insults at my intelligence, please.

Perhaps my opinion of her would change if she actually deviated from her lying script for a change.

I actually agree with Camille on much of this one

I have always been pro-choice and anti death penalty. This article made me rethink my position (and that is never a bad thing.)

I am no fan of Sarah Palin, but I would certainly include her under the tent of feminism. My fear is that she will impose her views on choice if given the power.

Hmm...

Wow

Great piece!

The Bush Doctrine...kinda like a unicorn?

But, perhaps, a little more tangible. ;-)

He's dreamy...

He's about the only thing I like about Sarah. I can see why she has so many kids....

(inappropriate, I know)

Original article: Correction on Sarah Palin

Why cut her any slack?

I really don't understand the people who post in her defense by saying she needed more time to prepare. I am just somebody's mother, but I would be able to answer the questions that have been asked of her so far without coming off as totally inept. I actually discuss these topics with friends on a regular basis. I have opinions that have been formed over time, through research, discussions and debates. Has she ever discussed current events over a cup of coffee, even?

What do you people see in her that lead you to believe she has so much political potential?

I just don't get it.

Original article: Correction on Sarah Palin

@mmf23 and Lan Barnes

Thank you so much for making this point. It has been something I have been thinking about quite a bit lately. Hillary was part of a team that achieved great success politically. I am glad to see others willing to speak out and give her the credit she is due.

I think readerreader is Xanthro

Is anybody else picking up on it? (or do you care?)

;-)

@Joel29028

Thanks for the chuckle! The only other thing that has made me laugh out loud this week was Tina Fey.

I think you are in good company.

Original article: Biden's difficult balance

Let her jab him a few times.

He should let her hit him a few times with her inane, sarcastic comments and then ask her if she is finished attacking. He should then invite her to actually answer a question. When she speaks in garbled sentences, he should admit he is confused and ask her to please clarify her points. He should do this over and over.

I agree, she has made some really bitchy swipes at both Biden and Obama. She is asking for some tough handling. She has a pair when it comes to making the statements, but they seem to shrivel when she is called out on them. She completely backed down when Katie Couric asked her about the wisdom in making Biden's age an issue. Katie should have asked her what specifically she had been hearing in all Biden's speeches over the years that she disagreed with.

Someone should point out that she hasn't gotten back to Katie yet about McCain's Senate reform record.

I am so sick of it!

How long have we been hearing about how illegal immigrants are ruining our economy? Nice distraction from what was really going on, huh? How much more bullshit are we going to have to listen to?

The best part of the garden is just sitting next to it and observing

I love to go out in the morning and sit next to the plants and watch them grow while drinking my coffee. I bring my camera and have snapped some amazing close ups of the flowers, veggies, birds and insects.

Such easy happiness!

My six year old watched the debate with me,

and he commented on how mean John McCain was. He was just yucky, again.

Joe the plumber AND Joe Sixpack? Hmmmmm....

It really is nothing but word salad with her.

This interview was just as bad as the others.

It is sad watching her try so hard to sound like someone who should be taken seriously.

(...and those clanging bracelets, geesh!)

Too bad "Sarkozy" didn't request her records on the phone today.

She would have faxed them right over. (Her lipstick shade has changed to brown.) Great insight into how she'd handle negotiations.

ok, I will give it a shot @ something stinks

when my son turned two, I legally changed his last name and added a hyphen and his dad's last name. I paid a fee and received a newly amended birth certificate. It shows the date that the changes were made. It is his legal birth certificate even thought it was printed two years after he was born. I have also lost my original birth certificate. When I requested a copy, it had the date that it was printed stamped on it. The new copy is my legal birth certificate.
