You are astonishing.
Even when your words are quoted back to you - you claiming that ANYBODY who's poor qualifies for Medicaid, and therefore the poor do not suffer from lack of healthcare - and two posters point out that in 45 states you have to have to be poor and HAVE KIDS (you know, like some poor people DON"T HAVE) - you still punt and fudge what you wrote.
You lying sack of shit - you never qualified your blanket assertions about Medicaid with "eligible" (as in - many, many poor people in fact won't be).
There are your words right in front of you - "Medicaid only requires that you be poor." "You're poor, Medicaid is there for you." "...Medicaid covers everyone whose income falls below a certain threshold." "If you exhaust that Medicaid is there for you."
Blanket statements, no qualifiers, glib, dismissive.
Medicaid is NOT there for everybody who needs it - not if you're poor and don't have children, in 45 states. End of story. You don't know what you're talking about.
You've got a screw loose.
Exhibit A1: squaresville now:
"She's (fecklesswench) calling you on claiming that Medicaid will handle anybody who can't afford healthcare." (feckless wench: "single adults without children are not eligible for Medicaid in 45 states. So that would be 90% of the US.") dwg
"But of course the idiot can't point to where I said that". squaresville
Exhibit A2: See previous post where "idiot" does.........
You're really driving yourself off a cliff here. If you could keep your comments to opinions and facts, you wouldn't be digging holes for yourself all over this site.
You're puffing up your chest and posting flat-out falsehoods about demographics (the poor and/or healthcare-needy) and services (Medicaid, emergency room care) that you know NOTHING about, and then arrogantly dismissing anyone with first-hand experience who points out the truth to you. It happens over and over and over.
That's crazy. You're intelligent - you should know better than that. If you have the courage of your convictions, which you clearly do, why can't you acknowledge facts when they're in your face?
Facts and reality won't damage your opinions, if they're honest and heartfelt. If they're not, though, you ought to let facts destroy them, so you can get a few new ones.
It couldn't hurt.
Exhibit A1: squaresville now:
"She's calling you on claiming that Medicaid will handle anybody who can't afford healthcare." dwg
"But of course the idiot can't point to where I said that". squaresville
Exhibit A2: squaresville then:
"You saw that only a few posts before, this I wrote that Medicaid covers everyone whose income falls below a certain threshold. Of course that may not include you, because you earn more than they do." squaresville

"Medicaid only requires that you be poor. I don't know if it requires you give up your AT&T iPhone plan though." squaresville

Exhibit B1: squaresville now:
(you said) "that poor people can get rid of their TV, etc. for coverage" dwg
"idiot, point to where I said that." squaresville
Exhibit B2: squaresville then:
"Today, something like 122 people in the U.S. die every day because they can't afford medical care." Alkaline
"Bull fucking shit. If they're doing so it's because they're not cancelling pay-per-view." squaresville

"wench,
Did you even read this thread? How else to explain how in the world you seemingly derived that I advocated against Medicaid? I'm all for Medicaid, you idiot." squaresville
squaresville: that's not what fecklesswench is saying at all. She's calling you on claiming that Medicaid will handle anybody who can't afford healthcare, that poor people can get rid of their TV, etc. for coverage, and therefore we don't need reform at all.
She's saying you're full of it. She's 100% right.
Plus you're arrogant about your ignorance, which is a BAD combination.
You have got one serious reading - or learning - disability.
fecklesswench is telling you that you don't know WTF you're talking about - you've never encountered the programs you're making glib pronouncements about. She has. And even then you don't listen.
She's also informing you that single adults without children are not eligible for Medicaid in 45 states. Did you get that? N-O-T. That's the fact that blows your specious arguments out of the water.
But don't let it stop you from sticking your foot further into your mouth. Yes indeed, "the subject of poverty per se is an entirely separate issue for the issue (sic) being addressed here."
The issue being addressed is your cluelessness, and the gaping hole in your understanding of what posters have been telling you on this thread all day.
You don't know jack about what millions of people are going through. And unfortunately, you never will.
Unfortunately, squaresville is one of several conservative posters on this site who've never stooped to honesty. To my mind he might be the most dishonest of them all - which is saying a lot. When you deliriously dismiss entire demographics whole-cloth, as he does time and again, your whole shtick seems like one big lie.
There but for god's swift kick, goes he.
Keep up the good fight, Alkaline, enjoy your posts.
