  • Edwards

[Read the article: Edwards on Clinton: Not tough enough?]

I'm sick and tired of John Edwards and his snarky ways, I wish he would just go home!No way is he going to beat Obama but he continues to pile on Hillary. If he can't be touched by her emotion is he really so caring of all those "poor" people he has built his campaign around?

  • Sure everybody loves Obama now....

Wait until the Republicans get started on him. They are holding their fire now because they want to run against him. She has had YEARS of demonizing so of course all the bubble brains out there believe the smears. The pundits who are singing his praises now will turn on him particulary if McCain somehow gets the nomination.Once the attack machine gets started all these independents who are making decisions for the Democrats right now will peel off...remember these are the same folks who voted for Bush twice..they are NOT progressive!Poor HIllary just can't win first she is the Ice Queen (hummm I wonder why a women in public life has to keep her emotions in check?)and now that snarky Edwards is calling her weak! I am so sick of him!I tried to like him because I love his wife but I don't,never did.

  • Great Article!

I'm sending this article to all of the young women I know. I hope everyone who reads this will stop and think about Hillary with a mind that is clear of the media distortion she has taken for most of her years in the public.Yes,she is more to the center than we liberals would like,I wonder why? Do you think a women running on Edward's message would get a serious consideration? Please!I recently had a conversation with my sister-in-law a women who I admire and respect.I asked her to tell me exactly why she did not like Hillary, it took her a while and finally it was because she didn't leave Bill when he cheated. Well she didn't leave my brother when he was a horse's ass, I don't think that is a good reason. We ended up talking about it for a couple of hours. What it comes down to I think is that my brother, the ass, listens to Fox during their dinner hour and she has absorbed so much of the lies directed at Hillary that she had come to believe them without really thinking about it.Why does the right hate her so? Why did they say things like "the witch is dead and now things are going to change" because if anyone threatens the GOP status quo it is Hillary. She has the smarts, and drive to accomplish the most change the fastest hands down.

  • There are educated women who support Hillary too for christsakes!

The group think that becomes convential wisdom after one newscycle is getting on my nerves! I am a Hillary supporter in rural Missouri, right outside the greater St.Louis Area.I volunteered early and have had many contacts with the campaign. I have gone for a day of training in addition to several gatherings of Hillary supporters who are going to be organizers in their respective geographic areas.I have had debate parties and I have developed a group of like minded women who come to my parties and who I keep in touch with via email, my group continues to grow.I would say that at least ninety percent of these women are college educated! Most of us are in the helping professions;education, nursing, social work but there are some lawyers and other professionals.I think what we have in common is that our careers have put us in touch with people who are struggling. There are many. The people we care about really don't have the luxury of taking a chance on an idealistic promise of national unity. They need someone who will go to work on day one trying to make the changes that will improve their lives as soon a possible. That is why they poll so high for Hillary.Like everything else with Hillary this has been distorted. The fact that she polls high with working class women does not mean that there are not many educated men and women who support her. Just like the fact that she has experience, that she has built a formatible machine, that she has been able to raise so much money, that she has earned the support of many establishment Democrats does not mean that she does not represent CHANGE!

  • Progressives...stop and take a deep breath!

Listen, all progressives need to stop and take a breath. We have come to a time in history that we have all dreamed of,with both an African American and a women running for president as serious canidates. This makes me so proud and I have been so proud to share it with my daughter, who has told me more than once that I did not raise her for this world we live in now. Please do not let the forces against progressive policies rob us of this moment.Do not let race/gender wars break out in our party! Let the Republicans and the pundits show their true nature with the smears they will be sure to make against either the women or the black canidate.I support Hillary but if Obama is nominated I want to be able to join with his supporters for a Democratic win. Let's not be at war with each other too much is at stake.
