Persia

Persia is such a fine example of an Obama supporter. You know know all of those wonderful young people he is calling to be part of the solution. They are so full of desire to serve their country and their fellow man! Boy, he can really inspire the youth to want to do great things.

Everyone loves to call Obama the next JFK because of his call to youth. Well speaking as one of the millions of "terrible baby boomers" who heard Kennedy's call and chose public service to become; teachers, social workers, therapists, not for profit workers, women's advocates, children's advocates, dedicated envirnmentalists, medical researchers, volunteers, public policy workers are all either retired or getting ready to retire. Our professions didn't really pay all that well but gave us the satisfaction that our lives have counted. I'm sure young people like Persia are standing ready to be the next generation to do the hard work it takes to keep the country running and people cared for... you can hear it in the loving way she/he speaks of the generation that came before.

Tiresome Obama supporters...

I am so weary of the Obama supporters and their scorched earth ways. I am so weary of Obama's public face and his private dirty tricks. I really don't see any evidence of his " new kind of politics" He is no better than any other politician: he flip flops, he stays silent when his supporters threaten AA super delagates, poor Tavis Smiley has had to change his phone number and his mother and cousins in Indiana have been threatened because he has has the gall to wonder where Obama stands on black issues before he endorses. For a former community organizer he has been strangely silent on the problems in urban communities. Last time I looked half of the Democrats like Clinton. I am not counting independents or lying Republicans who should not be allowed to chose the Democratic nominee. The supers are aware of things like Obama is not going to win all the red states that everyone is so excited about and he has thrown away Florida. The chances of Obama winning the general are slim at best. His supporters don't care they just want their way.The best thing about Nader getting in the race is the fact finally someone will vet Obama.

Good for You Tracy.....

I appreciate your response to the LA Times article and of course you are correct. The double standard is alive and triving. One need look no farther than the coverage of the election cycle to see so many examples it makes your head spin.

On another note ...I know that you are not responsible for the advertising this wesite allows but I am very offended by the porn that is distracting me as I write this letter. I will write others but could you please pass the word along.

Obama needs to pay attention to Hillary and not his adoring fans...

Hillary took Obama to school last night! She has been all along. She has always been ahead in ideas, a history of hard work and understanding of what it takes to win a general election. She took him to school in the last debate on the Farahkhan issue. For all the talk of Obama's ability to transform the Democratic coalition she is the one who is doing it. The Hispanic vote is truely transformative and if they can be brought into our party we with have a chance to truely change things in this country. His coalition of Independents and lying Republicans and youth is shaky and undependable. He needs to start earning the nomination now and not be carried along on a wave of popularity and obscene media support with no substance.I don't think he can do it. If he really wants to be President someday he should accept the VP spot get some on the job training and be ready to carry on the work Hillary will pioneer. I think most African Americans will be happy that he is still on a clear path to be the first African American president. Is it about the progressive agenda or is it about him?

MSNBC is making itself look ridiculous.....

The Frat Club at MSNBC along with their enabling soriety sisters is looking so silly as to be a parady of itself. Among the many ironies of this campaign is that Pat Buchanan ends up being the only objective grown up the network can offer.Rachael Maddow must be suffering the Stockholm Syndrome. I don't know what their ratings are at the present but I would venture a guess that they are shrinking.

Absolutely yes!

Both states are very important to a Democrtic win in November. They can not be left out of the process! They should both hold primaries the most democratic primary process. Obama supporters can not claim it unfair to him as he has shown his ability to win primaries. Let him work for the nomination. Lord knows Hillary has.

Obama supporters should think about this....

One of the things that has disappointed me so much in this primary season is the willingness of some Obama supporters to use the lies and false scandals to trash both Clinton's in their zeal for their guy. I keep thinking are these people really Democrats? Shouldn't they be defending one of our own and giving respect for Hillary's ability to withstand years of false attacks. It seems to me that if one is an Obama supporter it is possible to make a case for him without tearing down other democrats. I'm afraid many young people are going to experience the frustration of someone they admire being the target of the "freak show". I hope that they will take some time to reflect on their past behavior.
