You're just now figuring that out?
[Read the article: Obama: "I am outraged"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]comments of Obama and Michelle Obama sound like pulling teeth. They really don't like attacking Wright but have to for political reasons. All the more reason for regarding them as insincere and opportunistic. Not that Hillary is sincere and inopportunistic. But neither one generates much confidence. The next president will be John McCain.
You're just now figuring this out? Let's see before Obama jumped in with big money from K-street lobbyists and some helpful advice from Republican strategists and corporate America, Mrs. Clinton was poised to win by 20 points or more in places we haven't won in 20 years : like Kentuckey
Obama was a handy way for the GOP to do what it always does best: figure out a way to win when they can't legitimately win on popularity. What better way to do that than divide Dems and force them to nominate an inexperienced black liberation type with a middle name of Hussein.
The most disappointing part to me is that the left yet again fell for it.

Obama and his nutty supporters: always always somebody elses fault.
[Read the article: Breaking the Democratic deadlock]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]they're "racists". They're "stupid". Ain't that easy to say when you're say, a lawyer in Berkely pulling in 160,000 a year.
No, they're smarter than you. 1) they learn from their mistakes. 2) they aren't going to vote for some wack job with no experience that has never brought "Change" to anyone , least of all his suffering constituents in South Chicago.
These "dumb hilljacks" know smoke and mirrors when they see it.
Hillary delivered for them. Barrack Obama never delivered for anyone. (except himself).

Er, Einstein, Canada had open immigration policy with the 3rd world for 35 years.
[Read the article: So long, Canada]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Today in cities from Windsor to Toronto to Montreal to Van Couver, there are hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of first generation Muslim immigrants.
So are you saying that we should just have open borders with that?
God I hope not.

PS = I'm pretty sure there are stripjoints in Detroit
[Read the article: So long, Canada]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So stay there. Let the Canadians find something productive to do with themselves. We can indulge in crass behavior here.

Apparently voters ARE smart.
[Read the article: Breaking the Democratic deadlock]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]CNN)
Obama's lead is now down to 1 point over Clinton nationwide, 45 percent to 44 percent, in CNN's "poll of polls." That margin is down 3 points from another CNN poll of polls conducted two days ago. In that analysis, Obama led Clinton 47 percent to 43 percent. The margin is also considerably lower than an April 18 poll of polls that showed Obama with an 11 point lead.
The poll of polls consists of three newly released national polls from Fox News/Opinion Dynamics, Gallup, and Newsweek. There is no margin of error on the poll of polls.
Both the Fox News poll and the Gallup poll were conducted partially after Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, made a fresh round of controversial comments earlier this week.
The Fox News poll also appears to show Obama no longer has an edge over Clinton among independent voters. In head-to-head match ups, presumptive Republican nominee John McCain wins independents by a 4 point margin over Clinton (42-38 percent) and by a 10 points over Obama (47 percent to 37 percent).

So now let's do some MATH.
[Read the article: Breaking the Democratic deadlock]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama can't win Democratic states. His vulgar, screeching, shrill supporters have insisted he was popular with Republicans and independents.
Clearly not so.
So unless you WANT to lose in November why would you militantly apologize for what is obviously a landslide loser.

It's not "Democrats"
[Read the article: Breaking the Democratic deadlock]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If Democrats want to implode by putting up Obama in the face of all the negative press, flip-flopping on Wright, tanking poll numbers, and charges of elitism, I suppose we Clinton supporters will simply have to watch another Democratic blunder. It is incredible the way this party can be so obtuse by continually putting up candidates which turn off middle Americans.
It's not "Democrats". It's nutty leftwingers. Big Difference. Democrats are working families, firefighters, truckdrivers and nurses, union members, professional Jews who understand the nature of the threat of Islamic fundamentalism, struggling hispanic families and single moms with kids to feed. Elderly people living on fixed incomes. The LEFT are affluent white men, militiant blacks with chips on their shoulders and some dowdy post-feminist women who they date.self-destruct over. They are nutjobs more interested in procting the civil rights of 30,000 noncitizens who hate us than citizen families who can't buy their groceries. And the left, in whatever form, for 40 years, every single fricking time wrecks our election chances by cowardly attacking the center left instead of the right.
So normal Democrats see this. The latters and the vulgar kids don't. One day maybe they'll learn or they won't. As Ross Perot would say, "it's irrelevant".
Because, all I can say is if obama is shoved down our throat in a big loss which is now obvious to an average gorilla, that's it for me. Last straw.
Not because I don't want to be a Democrat. But because if the nut left has this much muscle to ram this down our throats despite EVERYONE knowing what's going to happen, than I can't hang around anymore. I have no interest in being in a party that is run by extremists who don't want to win, but rather want to sit it out in their fancy city jobs and "punish" the hilljacks and be good loyal opposition to a solid Republican majority. I'm not interested in a party where the controlling factor is more interested in someones skin color than good governing, or where the nutballs are more incensed about Iraqi's who probably hate Americans anyway, than in millions and millions of American families.
Ironically I now think it would be easier to clean the fringe out of the GOP than out of the Dems. If only by default.
Oh, and I'll be taking my checkbook with me when I go too.
