Barack is more vulnerable with swing voters because there are so many questions about him. Whereas people know that Bill's administration was one of the most socio-economically successful we've ever had - so they know Hillary knows what it takes to deliver.

Swing voters have different priorities than the media. Swing voters want someone they KNOW can deliver. Or, at least someone they KNOW.

However I have to take issue with your assessment of hte race-baiting in South Carolina. Obama denying he thought the Clinton's were racist and "distancing" himself for it is right up on par with intellectual honesty as the Bush WhiteHouse and Karl Rove "distancing" themselves from 527 attacks they've organized all over the maps (such as the infamous Swiftboat for Truth).

That Obama continued to deny involvement in the race-baiting which launched his early primary scucesses until the cherry-picked words memo his campaign used surfaced on the internet is particularly bothersome and it has been all too characteristic of his campaign.

It's stuff like this, this regular launching of the foulest attacks on Hillary and then pretending to be all doe-eyed while projecting their behavior on her (and then having to suffer through endless diatribes from rabid vulgarians like "tom payne" doing the same thing) has just been the biggest turnoff.

Rove was involved in promoting Obama's rise to stardom as a means of stopping HRC who , had she had a unified Democratic base behind her, would have been unstoppable. (she picks up the elderly vote, working class, hispanics and blacks until Obama started racebaiting) AND the swing voters. (Now she's so crippled from having to fight the left and the right that I just don't know but that's a side issue for now)
