I agree with this.

Has it ever occurred to you that any party which has treated one of its own as disgracefully as the Democratic party has treated Hillary Clinton this primary season, may well not be a party worth supporting anymore? The Democrats have been well nigh spineless during the Bush presidency, not exactly a state secret. This didn't exactly burnish their collective image prior to the primaries. Too, many of us have serious moral qualms about Obama himself, not to mention the nature of his slash and burn (while pretending otherwise) campaign; serious enough to prevent us from voting for him now or ever.

The reckless satisfaction which far too many Obama supporters have apparently derived from heaping derision, scorn, and slander on Hillary Clinton and her supporters, may be all the joy they experience this year. If so, so be it. One thing is sure: they're not going to find a whole lot of Clinton supporters lining up with them at the polls in November should Obama finagle the nomination. And no, this isn't a threat: it has simply fast become a reality.

Very well said. Although I still think many of them are Republicans. Each election season, mysterious, extremely obnoxious people with sign-ons never to be seen again show up to pile on the viable candidate. Usually the same half a dozen or so folks with a bunch of different signons.

Last time they tried to pass themselves off as Nader supporters. This time they pretend to support Obama, wanting him to be the candidate to lose.

Reporting Tom Payne and while the Salon Editors are at it..

I agree s/he should be reported, whatever it is. It's an on-going willfull attempt to stifle all intelligent discourse and to try to intimidate participation.

And while the Salon Editors are at it, perhaps they could do a cross-check on the email addresses of the two dozen or so persons that all seem to sign in a few moments apart and spew the same profanity.

Does Obama have a Freezer full of Republican Cash?

Too, many of us have serious moral qualms about Obama himself, not to mention the nature of his slash and burn (while pretending otherwise) campaign; serious enough to prevent us from voting for him now or ever.

The thing that most bothers me about his slash and burn tactics is he obviously has KNOWN he can't win since Super Tuesday. (No Democrat is going to win losing California, New Jersey and even Mass. by 14-20 points and getting less than 50% of the hispanic vote even in their OWN STATE (about 15-17% at best anyplace else).

It's like what is his reasoning? It's obviously self-motivated and has NOTHING at all to do with the priniples of the Democratic Party.

He's either a bigger nutjob than Wright or he's being paid. There's just no other likely explanation.

The TRUTH: Don't dish it out if you can't take it in!

Do we hear a big communal wail for the Obama team now? How Hilarious. As if playing victim ever won a Dem a General Election.

HRC owes no apology to the man or his absolutely unhinged supporters who condoned everything from patent race-baiting to the distribution of Harry and Louise commericals to a wholesale pressuring of the liberal wing of the party to have Mrs. Clinton "concede" a race that was by all statistics a dead-heat and which she has been gaining ground.

Obama can't win against McCain as witnessed by his inability to win anything more than red states (where Republicans were TRYING to make him the candidate). And he knows it. That his campaign tried so hard to take the Democrats into the gutter is very telling of his character : as are his closest associates and can-they-be-anymore-vulgar shills.

He got what he asked for. I have no pity for him at all, especially as when he finally goes back to Chicago, he'll be doing so the better off for it financially. Unlike his nutty supporters who will be exactly where they were when he aspired to Senate only way worse off economically.

Sorry Joe you missed the mark on this one.

To Little Bo Peep - Nobama isn't exactly winning the Dems over either. Not to mention everyone else.

Dot.

@Texas Mountaineer

lot of the "old" guard dems are calling for Hillary to step down. Why not wait for it to all play out? Because if we wait, will Hillary actually win?

Yes, that's it exactly. She's poised to outpace the whopping 150 delegate lead Nobama has over here thanks to a bunch of dope-smoking lefties and unemployed city blacks who have all day to hang out and vote in a caucus and even with the fourth biggest electoral state in the nation (Florida) not counted.

Also, isn't it wonderful to know that it's okay to distribute Scaife's MATERIAL (Harry and Lousise, Vince Foster add nauseum) and lies throughout your campaign as long as you don't actuallly meet with the guy who owns half the news orgz in Pennsylvania and tell the TRUTH. McPeak LOL - easily the most incompetent figure to tell comedy with a straight face since Henry Paulson found himself in need of a bad job enough to take on Bush's defunct treasury. Or maybe since Howard Dean took over the DNC and ran it into the ground. Remember how he insisted, much like the dope-smoking hate-mongers of today's lefties that the party didn't need big donors? LOL. Well now the DNC is bankrupt, the RNC is sitting there with about 5.6x the cash now. So what do they do? so they're going to drive out the last six. Guess "grassroots" money didn't work out so well after all. and after all, lefty-lefts will only give up so many lattes.

Oh, and ignore the nobamateers. they are regular "tom paynes" of vulgarity, ignorance and butt-scratchig, zoo-like behavior unseen since the last time they desperarately had to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The main thing to know is liberals LOVE to lose. They roll in it like pigs in shit. Look at Moveon.Nutz - they've spent 6 years and probably 50 million dollars and the results are every candiate they back loses.

Pathetic.
