But both the Politico and the Los Angeles Times have published stories recently about the Obama campaign's efforts to register thousands of independent and Republican voters as Democrats before the March 24 voter registration deadline. The vote itself will be held on April 22; as it's what's called a "closed" primary, only registered Democrats will be allowed to participate in the Democratic half of the primary.
Exactly what he's been doing everywhere. "Winning" by adding huge numbers of Republican voters who have NO intention of voting for him in November.
He's gotta be getting BIG cash from the GOP. The toad is just a more expensive version of Alan Keyes. What a scumbag - any real Democrat would kick him to the side of the road in a heartbeat.
Spitzer's actions were far worse. He was the kinetic to Vitter's potential, he actually ruined lives over prostitution and did so while actively engaging in it. For all we know (although it is a provocative stretch to suggest, I admit) he celebrated putting away hookers and johns by renting a hotel room with a call girl and a bottle of Cristal.
Much as the press tries to sensationalize it, using the commercial services of a quasi-skanky Jersey girl and her cohorts a mere 8x over almost 2 years doesn't really smell of someone who had a long history engaging in commercial sex. Particularly when he was having to shuffle all his money around to hide it from wifie in such an amateurish way he was caught.
Seems to be a new occurance for Spitzer sometime well after his prostitution bustups that everyone is yailing "hypocrisy" about. And who knows why he suddenly started. It's almost as if he wanted to be caught though. Sometimes bright people do very self-destructive things.
It sort of makes my skin crawl to think that anybody would want to.
Big time. One particularly idiotic grotesque was arguing that prostitution was a solution for global poverty, there was nothing else 33% of the population could possibly do, and it wasn't even worth trying to educate them.
The Obamateur can get every last rightwinger in Penn to try to register but Mrs.Clinton is going to clean his clock anyway.
The Obamteur bastard is out for himself. The gutter-dwelling carnival crowd here on Salon seems suspiciously to be the same few Republicans logging in as other alias. They do their racist immitations of inner city blacks pretty well though. At least as vulgar. At least. Probably more.
PS - Dr. Fester - more like the Audacity of GREED The Obamateur fits in will with the Republicans he travels with. Hell only knows real Democrats want no part of him.
Really. You sure you talking HRC.
Cause that sounds about like what Mrs. Obama's salary was at the UofI after her hubby became Senator and saw the university got a big infusion of cash. Besides Michelle's big salary increase nobody can find much of anything else the University did with it.
Least you can say Obama's consistent. Fancy house from the South Chicago taxpayers, 200% raise for his wife as a SEnator courtesy of American taxpayers. Hell, if he really did have a shot at being President he'd probably buy unapologetically buy himself a string of Carribean islands with the taxpayer's hard-earned dollars.
As for racism; just takea look at the Obamateur's supporters:
bigotted, nutty preachers.
Farakhan
Oprah,
99% of the votes of biggoted, uneducated southern blacks...
yeah, you tell us all about racism, cheeseball.
At this point, isn't Obama ahead in delegates
Barely. And even then only if you include skewed caucuses consisting of less than 10% of the voters in primarily red statest that won't go Dem in November.
It's an ironic travesty that people who want to argue that skewed caucuses and disenfrachising 5.8 million Dem voters in Florida nd Michigan are "democratic" but superdels aren't.
The fact that Obama is having to re-register Republicans who are doing it precisely because they think he CAN'T win is telling.
As if Republicans, patriotic chinese made US flagwavers, of all persons, are going to vote for a liberal black Senator from a church where the pastor has told the congregation to damn American for 17 years and with a wife who is proud of the country only for the first time. Leaving all else aside, and that's much.
Once again the left wing of the Dem party has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Btw, although I've had my differences with her in the past, I can tell you that Mary S. is one of the most politically savvy and knowledgeable posters to be found. When she says something I've learned to listen. She is the first person to have almost three years ago said that the Republican party HAD to nominate McCain in 2008 to stop their losing trend in the west. Suggest you listen to her carefully.
The grassroots movement started with Dean, and the meetups, and netroots and the DNC 50 state strategy is also coming to fruition at the local level all around the nation.
This is the biggest lie of all. This is not a "grassroots" movement. All Dean and moveon did was create a virtual meeting place for disparate leftwingers to meet and donate funds on the internet. This "grass roots" minority is the same far left minority of collge students, affluent white males adverse to war that has been around since Nixon v. Humphrey.
Dean's 50 state strategy was a failure. Which makes sense. Moveon.org is satanic in most of the 50 states and the left ahs no base in most of them either. Whereas the GOP has churches, PTA and school boards, veteran halls, etc etc.
Because he had no strategy Charlie Schumer and Rahm Emmanuel went to Dean and took over. They are the ones who targeted the races that were won in what some pepole (mistakenly) think is new Dem territory such as southern Indiana, northern Kentucky, and they are the ones who put up the rightwing Dem who won in North Carolina.
