Dean can pass go and proceed to Hell.

Dean, once upon a time, a competent Governor, had a choice. He could indulge his go and pander to the rabid left and encourage them to destroy the party by litmus testing out everyone who didn't tow the line 100% with their uber-left world, or he could have built a lasting viable coalition that would have chipped away at the Republicans base.

He obviously chose the latter. Like Obama he was all talk and no acton. He was going to build a 50 state strategy, remember that one? Most of us adults understand it's hard to build a 50 state strategy when you won't set foot in a church or synagogue and insist on litmus testing red white and blue America to fringe positions.

Well, Donna Brazille, that other big winner with all that success behind her such as Gore in 2000 and now, Nobama, says the left has a big base of new votes and doesn't need the traditional Dems.

Guess we'll see about that because as best I can tell she and Dean and nut left authors such as Shapiro and other Salon favs have put it on the line.

@seniorplaid

Nice new alias.

We could far more easily question your own and other nobamabots supposed commitments to the issues you describe after this campaign and your choice of candidates.

However more importantly please wake up and notice that nobody is interested in passing the quack left's foul-mouthed litus tests. We EXPECT a vulgar rationalization as to why you insisted on being this self-destructive and Obama's already begun his excuses as to why it's somebody elses fault he's going to lose so big. (racism, Hillary, ad nauseum). But the obvious retort is what happened to that "broad-stream" appeal and unity he purported to have.

Regardless, litmus testing the last generation of die-hard Dems who are quickly leaving in total disgust is not helpful to anyone genuinely concerned about healthcare.

You folks are fools to end all fools.

I would rather see te Democratic MAJORITY (aka not the super-lefty potty-mouths). regroup

with a base of hispanic families, professional women, Asian Americans, blue collar white men and hispanic families and the elderly.

With Hillary so popular with all on these that woud be the way to go. I still think she should run as an indie if the party incompetents and their rabid black bigots are allowed to shove a sure-loser down on the people as a nomine.

Leave what's left of the ashes to the potty-mouthed, useless left-of-Lenin trolls as typified by Michelle Obama posing as "jeffersonian"

@Winston Smith

I have no idea if you're one of those Republicans doing all you can to ensure Obama is the nominee or if you're genuine.

Assuming the latter there are a few things I've learned in forty something years ,

  1. and at the top of that list would be it's best to take people at their word.

    If you're with a girlfriend or boyfriend who says they aren't ready for marriage: BELIEVE THEM, for instance.

  2. Believe the people who have told you either vocally or in the primaries (such as hispanics in California, Catholics in Penn and Mass, and the elderly all over) that they can't stand Barrack Obama. If this isn't enough BELIEVE the people in Ohio, Penn, Florida, NJ, Iowa and every other battleground state that RIGHT NOW have Obama 6-20 points behind McCain (while Hillary is 10 points ahead of McCain).

    2. The best judgement of somebody's ability to deliver/perform is based on their past. Donna Brazille fkd up the election for Gore in 2000 and now she's fkd up 2008.

    Obama never delivered change in Chicago or Illinois so he isn't likely to do it anywhere else where it's even harder to deliver.

    And so forth.

  3. 3. Acidic name-calling the stripe of "Jeffersonaian Payne Rabid" and similar handles s/he uses doesn't work.

    He's either a REpublican he's their best asset.

  4. 4. Most moderate Democrats are not rabid activist bloggers so they aren't going to be on websites by and large to tell you this. By and large though they ARE the majority.

@Lovebirds

Amen, amen.

C'mon you gotta admit it now. "Jeffersonian" is really Michelle Obama!

There's just NO WAY, with all that profanity, temper foaming potty-mouth blather it can be anything else!!

The answer: It depends what you want.

PR is a pretty good indicator of hispanic sentiments. And that makes a big diff in whether Dems carry NJ (surprisingly close with McCain v Obama, amazingly within the error margin). Then there's Mass where Obama already has a big Catholic problem (and with whom associating with the hysterically wackyg Phlagler didn't help a bit). California and NY, well who needs them as a Dem.

But this is all practical and will have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the people hung up in the mist with guitar music and speeches about change and unification (neither of which was ever delivered).

Obama voted to fund every nickel of Iraq money - twice.

Since he didn't have to vote on it back when he was grandstanding, one can only judge his character by what he DID do when he DID have a vote on it

Which was a double vote for Iraq.

So much for the ostrich left's claims their Messiah didn't support Iraq.

The guy makes Karl Rove seem clean.

re: at least he didn't leave his wife McCain

Not at all to excuse John McCain's sleazy path to fufilling his ambitions, but you might reconsider if you wish Obama hadn't left ol Potty-Mouthed Michelle. Word in Chicago is that his getting around is legendary and that they had regular hellish fights about it. 'Could be rumor, but if not, you better believe the Republicans have every bimbo he ever played grab-ass with ready to go.
